I sent them a iPhone 6 plus and they got it on 09/21/16 and never called. So I called and talked to them on 09/28/16 and they said they would mail me a check for $250.00. As of 10/14/16 no check and now no one answer the phone.

This company was just raided a few days ago by the FTC, everyone needs to write to them and share your experience. I am looking into filing a class action lawsuit. You can see the information on KOLO 8 under "Sparks business raided" its time to action.

This site will provide a decent quote and have you send your phone. Once they have the phone, they lowball the quote and keep your phone if you ask for it back. Cashforphones.com quoted $141 for my ATT 16G 5s and then sent an email offer of $12 once they received it. They said it didn't work although I had used it as my personal phone the week before. I asked for the phone back and was told "too late - the order is closed and processed". Cashforphones.com are bait and switch specialists. Now that this has happened I looked at their history. Check BBB and everywhere else.

They quoted me an amount I thought was fair, though the email was weirdly formatted, with the wrong person's name at the top, and then mine at the bottom. I thought it was a mail merge problem, so didn't worry about it! I only called them when I got a check for $10 for my phone and said What the heck? They quoted me 68! They said 'we sent a correction email to you' you didn't respond within the 5 days. No email was sent, I track my spam and junk mail closely, and it didn't go there either! Stay away from these guys! You're better off donating it and getting nothing!

I was quoted $523 dollars for a iPhone 6plus with the online cashforiohones!! Revised offer: $88 dollars! It was brand new phone, only took it out of box and decided it was to big and I decided to go back to my old phone! Called them 13 hours after I rcvd their insult of a offer and was told my order had processed and that I couldn't get my phone back! I read the terms and conditions and was told that was a new set of t/c and that I didn't have 5 days, I simply said well, did the old t/c give you more than 24 hours and ask for a copy of old t/c and was told NO! That I said I printed them out so they wouldn't send me one. I know writing this will not solve anything or effect anyone that works for this place, I guess on a level it just makes me feel better to tell it! Hope this save one person from going thru what I did, being a single mom that works 2 jobs!!

I checked this website to sell my iphone 5, they offered me $278. I sent it to them and they came back with $13. I sent an e-mail asking for the phone back, they sent me the payment inmediatelly and never answered to my e-mail.

Before you use cashforiphones because of their 'higher than the others' on-line quote, take a look at what the BBB of Northern Nevada has to say. They have more than 2000 complaints against them and are rated F on a scale of A to F. The online quote for my phone was $113 (a perfectly working 4S with a brand new back panel and no visible screen flaws) - but they gave me $9!!! Yes, not a typo, $9 - claiming it had moisture damage (I know there wasn't any because I had had the back off it!), and a chip in the screen (BS). No need to say more than my experience was like many many others. Use Gazelle, not these cheats.

The website quoted $93.00 for phone and e-mail quote after receiving a perfect working phone was $2.00. I have called the company a total of nine times and cannot get anyone in customer service to answer the phone. I am disconnected. I've e-mailed and I am told that I cannot request the phones be returned via e-mail but must talk to a customer service representative. I am in a vicious cycle to get my phones returned.

Although they quote you with the highest price above all the other companies out there, such as usellit.com and gazelle.com, don't be fooled. It's just a big lie to get you send in your device. In my recent experience, they offered $70 for an iPhone and mailed a check back for $5. They could provide no valid reason for this significant difference other than they had control of your device now and what could you do. Anyway, when I called in about the insufficient check, they stated that I had a chance to deny the offer through an email offer. However, the email offer was never sent to me (this is the 2nd time that they lied about this). When I asked for the device back, they refused. When I got upset with customer service, they just hung up. This was my 2nd bad experience with them where they repeated this exact pattern of stating an offer email was sent and then sending a check for significantly less than their online offer, stating I should have denied the offer email that I never got. I got every other email from them, but no offer. Also if you sit on hold with them for more than 10 minues, the phone automatically hangs up and when I asked about it, they stated that their phones are set to automatically hang up after you have been on hold for 10 minutes. I said that was crazy, that it causes the person to lose their place and get more frustrated by having to call back in. Their customer service rep who shouldn't have that title, stated that if I continued to express my frustration, she would hang up and she did. No matter what they offer, know that it is a lie and you are better off going to the other companies, who will actually pay you what they quote online.

Quoted me $270 for a flawless iphone 5S - was offered $46 when they received it- Can not get through to talk with anyone - Avoid this !!!

Sent in 2 perfect iPhones and got a quote for $198 for both. When I sent them in they sent me an email saying they would pay $20 for both. They say in the agreement that if you are not happy with the quote you can call their purchasing department and get your device back the ONLY way you can get your device back is by calling. The problem is that once you give them your order number.they transfer you and you are eithe put on hold indefinitely, told to call after 1 pm pacific. Or hung up on. They make it impossible to get a hold of that department. I finally did and they said they would send it back but they sent me the money instead. When I called back they said there was no record of my call . They need to be exposed. I will be reporting them to several federal agencies for investigation.

I was quoted $204 for my iPhone 5 and then upon inspection, my quote was lowered to $16. I reread the terms and conditions and they say you have 3 days to either accept or reject the new price and have your device sent back to you. I called the following day and the representative said my only options were to accept the $16 or accept her new $50 quote even though I demanded my phone back. Unfortunately, I accepted the $50 because she said I didn't have another choice because my phone was processed and my payment was submitted. The representative just kept repeating that. After hanging up, I checked and other people received their phones back. I called one more time and the new lady said that since I accepted the new price, I had no new option and told me that the original representative never told me I couldn't get my phone back!!!! So they used manipulative, misleading language to trick me. Do not, under any circumstance, use Cashforiphones.com

Quote was over $100. I did read some review after I sent my device. The sent a email on 2/11 said my device is worth $11. I called them right away. They transferred me to the purchase dept. Phone ringed 10mins then disconnected. So I sent a email for reject their offer. As per term and condition, I only had 3days to reject their offer. Called on 2/12. same happened. Just spoke with a lady who claimed she is the supervisor. She stated my order was processed on 2/9. so I missed 3days timeline. They chucked my device. Not able to returned it. I told her I didn't received a email on 2/9. Only email I got was 2/11. She stated it's my email pb. I asked her that if she has record of 2/9 email. She stated that it's automated emailing system. then hung up. I will contact BBB for this matter.

I wish I would have read the reviews - I had a 6month perfect condition 5c phone with case - it didn't have enough memory for me so I upgraded - checked on line & the offer was $146.00 - they then sent me an email stating my $25.00 check was on its way - in the initial email it stated they would ask for my approval first - I sent numerous emails stating for them to return & a lot of hold time with them -- DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE - it is rotten!!!!

These guys have a business strategy that goes like this: (1) advertise an amount for your used iPhone on their website that is significantly higher than their on-line competitors. Note that they do not guarantee a specific amount - only an "up to" amount. (2) after mailing in your device, you get an email in about 2 to 3 weeks offering a "low ball" amount - in my case $41 for a one-year old, good condition iPhone 5s, 64gb, ATT, (3) when you call them to complain, you have to wait for 10 minutes or so to talk to a person and then you are referred to "purchasing" - in my case, it took 3 days of persistent calling to get them, (4) you then get the explanation that your iPhone was scratched, etc (which was not the case - bumper protected), (5) when you ask for your iPhone to be returned, they say it is too late, the "payment has been processed" (even though I called the day after receiving the email), HOWEVER they will offer you $70. So now you are in a negotiation! I talked her up to $150, which is still $65 less than what Buybackboss.com guarantees for that model iPhone in "good" condition. In summary, this outfit's strategy is based on wearing you down hoping you will give up somewhere along the process. A crummy way to do business! I wish I had used one of the other buyers.

I too am one of those consumers who were offered $233 online for myIphone 5s, only 14 months old in flawless condition. I received an inspection email with an offer for $30. So far they have not replied in two days. Am I to have the same fate as the other reviewers. This is basically online theft, especially when they claim they cannot send back your device. Not sending the device back and me refusing the offer and not honoring their initial quote for a perfect condition device is not on.There must be something the State or Federal government can do to shut this company down. We are talking thousands of dollars here.

This site is saying my phone has "find my Iphone" operational on the phone and would I remove it from Icloud because the phone is useless otherwise. I asked for the phone to be sent back to me and the operator ushered me off the call and managed to hang up on me. I don't expect to see the phone or any money. Lesson learned. Same old scheme to get your phone free!

Do not sell no iphone to them. They will quote you one price then you give you totally different lower price. Then when you try to get your phone back they will not return your phone to them. Do not do business with them you can get more money selling it your self. I had iphone 4 in good condition they was only willing to give me $2.

My iphone was appraised at $180 and they only offered $30. So I called and had to wait for 15 min for someone to answer. Then when I complained about the $30 offer, they said I have to talk to purchasing, which was closed at that time. So I had to call again then no answer. After several unsuccessful attempts to reach them, I finally got someone. Then I had to wait for purchasing again for 10 min. The purchasing person said my account has been closed because the check was mailed, which I never got. DON'T RECYCLE YOUR PHONE HERE!!!!

Don't even thing about using this company! Their website said my iPhone 5 was worth "up to $196". They offered me $29! The phone is in at least "good" condition: no scratches, no broken glass and it worked perfectly. You also get a major runaround trying to get your phone back, which I am currently trying to do.
