I have recently processed a claim through pier insurance. I accidentally dropped my phone in water and as a result it has been deemed not to be repairable. This was approx 4 weeks ago.
Initially the staff were friendly and assisted with process of making the claim. There was a degree of "stalling" but eventually my phone was sent off and it was agreed that my claim was successful. I paid the £50 excess and was told that I would have a handset delivered within 5 days. I am still waiting three weeks later.
The staff have told lie after lie. The manager who I presume is not very intelligent has told me that they are having difficulty as "the IPhone 5" is a sought after handset. The fact that I can walk into any number of shops tomorrow and buy the same handset negates this argument. The female manager that I spoke to was completely out of her depth when handling the complaint and not prepared to offer any solution to resolve the situation.
I am still waiting for my handset...... They have told me that this will be posted tomorrow . They can't possibly send it recorded delivery though but will send it fed ex, therefore meaning I have to wait another 4 days. I do not hold my breath that I will have the phone delivered tomorrow.
DO NOT USE this company.
