My husband was struggling to get the old vinyl tiles up off the kitchen floor. They were so well stuck it was taking 30 minutes to remove each one and even heating them up to melt the adhesive only saved a little bit of time and it was such a mess. I bought one of these tools off Amazon for £35 hoping that it would help. It comes with 7 different tools, scrapers, saws etc. To start with the dust extraction attchment was split when we opened the box and it disintegrated altogether as soon as we started. Once that was removed it was absolutely brilliant using the rigid scraper attachment. Once my husband got the hang of it he was able to lift the tiles in strips and each one only took about 5 minutes. It must have saved days in getting the tiles off. I was told by my brother in law that the tool is also great at stripping wallpaper and no doubt will come in useful for laying laminate floors at a later date. Very pleased with purchase.
