Yummy

I went a short while ago for my birthday noon-time meal and may only point out that this place is extraordinary, Paradisiaque, appetizing, exciting. There doubtless aren't enough adjectives to explain this places grace.we were treated to starters, mains and desserts and all four people had next to nothing to complain about, for our family, that claims a lot and we were still speaking in relation to how good that it was this morning. Our server was talkative and shared his view on the menu that is something I very much recognize the value of and the chef turned out to speak to us that may be something I wish more places would do while it shows a concern and appreciation in the customers.Service was friendly and knowledgeable too. A wine was recommended to match the dishes we had chosen and bread, butter and water was proferred rapidly.Mains included many different dishes, I don't recall what everyone had as most people started sharing food using a delighted promiscuity. To become completely genuine, I suppose this is often my new favourite restaurant.

Disgraced By The Staff's Attitude

I recently went to Blue Ginger for dinner with my parents and my husband. Prior to driving up to the restaurant, I called to reserve a table for 4, as I have many times in the past. I was told on the phone by a man, that they didn’t take reservations (which was news to me), unless you arrived after 9pm. So with this in mind, we arrived and were told that we had to have a reservation. I told the lady what I was told over the phone and she told me that they did take reservations and that I had been mis-informed.

As you can imagine I was rather frustrated, especially as my parents had travelled a long way to have dinner with us, and we really wanted them to taste the food here.

At the time the restaurant did had a few tables empty (I only imagine they were reserved). Eventually a man (manager?) came over and basically told me rudely that “everyone says that to get a table” when I told him what I was told on the phone. This is a very poor way to treat to a customer, and really did make me very angry to realise that he was calling me a liar. If I was alone, I would have taken his name down, and walked out. However as I was with my parents, who I did not want to disappoint, I waited and was finally sat down. May I add, we were seated in the middle of all the football supporters next to the huge flat screen TV.

I am very disappointed with the treatment we got, especially as I have never experienced this before on my many visits to Blue Ginger. I would have liked to have let him know, that no you do not have to book 3 days in advance to get a table, and that it is not impossible as I always book a couple of hours before. To be honest I am in two minds about ever going there again, and most certainly will not recommend it as readily as I have been.

Advice to Blue Ginger - Sort out the members of staff who seat you to your table, such rudeness is uncalled for, and has prevented many people from returning.
