Outside magazine has been an incredible source of information on outdoor activities and equipment for years. 1-I'd love to see a greater diversity of locations when featuring stories on towns/regions--there is an imbalance towards the western US. Outside needs to do a better job at seeking out lesser known outdoor meccas not yet reported on since they're a source for so many adventurers. 2- Resubsribed end of '17, but online Buyers Guide access reward provided outdated '15 Buyers Guide.

I previously had a subscription years ago. Sadly, over the course of 3 years I had several moves to where I could NOT have a subscription. Now that I am finally settled I have restarted my subscription. This magazine is full of interest hiking, camping, biking, etc. but more importantly very interesting people that modern media will not cover. I cannot wait for the first magazine to come in to get immersed in the lifestyle i have been longing for. Of course there are topics covered that I do Not have a initial interest in but after reading a couple paragraphs I have found an appreciation for what was being described. All in All a wonderful magazine and totally wish I had an opportunity to be involved with such a fantastic magazine.

I picked up the 40th Anniversary Edition of Outside to read on trip we were about to take to Maine. I love watching the Outside channel on Sling TV, so I thought I'd give the magazine a try. I am so glad I did! The articles are fantastic!!! The writers take you on a fabulous journey, through many different experiences and emotions. I am amazed at the quality of writing and storytelling. I am hoping that the 40th Is the norm and not the exception, because I purchased a two year subscription.

I have just renewed my subscription, if you check your records, I have been getting Outside for over 30 years ,the best magazine I ever got . It has changed over the years, but the writers are the best. Great reading, thanks.

I've enjoyed your magazine for ~30 years. My only complaint is your address label. Most magazines currently use a glue/adhesive that easily peels off and leaves no residue. I like to remove the address label so that I can read all the print and see the picture on a magazine cover. Your label adhesive removes part of the magazine cover and leaves a sticky mess that I have to cover over with scotch tape. Time to upgrade Outside!

The magazine is excellently written, and the photography is fantastic. The theme is a bit too "millennial" for a guy my age (73...), but I enjoy it none-the-less. I have taken the advise of the reviewers of some products and bought several things, which have been as reviewed, generally. I think that the articles on cities that are the most endowed with outdoor activity opportunities are pretty accurately described. I am a serious back-country skier and like the article about skiing products and locations.

I love Outside. Unlike other magazines, the articles are always fresh, informative and interesting. The only complaint I have is while women read this magazine, the articles don't reflect that fact. No need to change the format, the articles or the advertising as the content of Outside is excellent. Perhaps the authors could write from a perspective or athletes in general rather than from the perspective of a male athlete (unless it is a specific gender related article).

Received the magazine as a Christmas gift (At my request) several years ago. Unfortunately, this magazine is for the younger set. Us older folks (pass 60-65) need a similar magazine. . PS Got my son hooked on the magazine after passing mine onto him

Found a copy at the doctor's waiting room while waiting 2 hours for my spouse. Wow factor plus 100 per cent. Read it cover to cover. Magnificent readers' photographs, so beautiful and...dangerous? Great features and spicy tidbits: see page 14, Research Department "someone's got to do it" of October 2012 issue. SO funny. Had to subscribe. This publication is refreshingly different. Advertising a bit intrusive but that's how mags stay in business. Enough of a quibble?

The Librarians had placed, "The Best of Outside, the first 20 years," on display and I grabbed it up. I haven't put it down since I checked it out, what with the wonderful stories that people from the magazine have told years ago. Based on the strength of these outdoor stories and the eloquence, humor, and honest human emotion I read within I ordered my husband the magazine for Christmas.

My 16 year old loves it. I read it after him. One of the best magazines - you don't have to rip pages out or articles - as nothing is offensive. The only one critique we have is sometimes the magazine will have an advertisement for shoes/tennis etc and we can't find them on the internet. One time we looked for day for a particular shoe that was advertised to finally discover the shoe was pulled from the market.

This is the best magazine that you can get. I can't wait for it to come in the mail.

I just ordered this magazine for my husband who is very outdoorsy. He bought the magazine while on a trip to read on the plane. He ended up reading it from cover to cover several times. He said it has wonderful information and would enjoy having it mailed directly to him each month. The information is something to remember not just read and forget. I loved the great deal the magazine was running on their website, free waterbottle, 2 free buyers guides, 2 free downloads, and a year subscription for $24. GREAT DEAL!

It has great vacation, health food and exercise ideas. The pictures are excellent and some of the stories about peoples live are eye opening. An article on advances in medicine that causes the body to excercise without actually doing anything was greatly enjoyed. I never that there was hang gliding in the Himalaya's with the aid of thermal drifts. The outdoors are really something. I haven't always been a believer but am now. I still don't like to camp. Thanks for scholarship! I just subscribed for 2 more years.

I started reading this magazine when someone brought their old copies in to work. I have just started my own subscription because I found myself referring back to it over and over. I am an 'outdoorsy' type and have been curious about getting into some other outdoor activities but was unsure about how to get started with proper gear, brands, or even good places to go to do them. The articles, product reviews and some of the editorials in 'Outside Magazine' really gave me a lot of really great information to get me started on the path. The Buyer's Guides are very well written and not so 'techy' your eyes glaze over. The articles are written with some witty humor and very easy to get drawn into. Even articles I look at and am not the least bit curious about pull me in and next thing I know, I'm telling someone about it and, just like that, I'm a smart guy! Also has excellent photography and is laid out very well, (as a Graphic Designer, I am swayed by these things as much as content.) If you are into outdoor fitness or if you wish you were, I highly recommend making 'Outside Magazine' part of your 'Health Diet'. It's a very useful tool and each issue has something I refer back to at some point. This magazine has shelf life. Not a read once and throw away. So make some room on your shelves. Thanks for putting out such a great product! Brad Covington Iowa

I have found this to be the best overall magazine for outdoor enthusiasts. It covers almost everything, is reliable in its reviews of products, and the articles are relevant.
