Menzies Welcombe Hotel Spa And Golf Club Is The Mo
Menzies Welcombe Hotel Spa and Golf Club is the most gorgeous hotel with amazing breath taking surroundings! This hotel is ideal for weddings and definately worth a visit as the website does not do it justice! The bedrooms are large with everything you need. There are a variety of function rooms, most with doors leading to the gardens. Food was great too!

We Are Amazed That Such An Idyllic Setting Has Bee
We are amazed that such an idyllic setting has been transformed into a wedding venue of the highest quality. We would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to any bride to be. We were very lucky with the weather on the day, and the team at the Menzies Welcombe Hotel Spa & Golf Club in Stratford upon Avon moved our drinks reception out onto the terrace - what a view! They really helped make our day!
The meal was great, and the service was excellent as well - we really couldn't fault it!
If you're thinking of this venue, be sure to ask for bedroom 132 - it is a beautiful 4 poster overlooking the gardens.

The Events Coordinator At Menzies Welcombe Hotel S
The events coordinator at Menzies Welcombe Hotel Spa & Golf Club was completely and totally uncooperative and unhelpful in virtually every aspect, promising to get back to us with crucial information and never doing so. The answer to virtually every question asked was 'no'!
The hotel consistently refused to provide a room for the bridal party to dress in despite being nowhere near full or to give early entry to the bridal suite.
Ten minutes before the wedding was due to start the chairs weren't even fully set out. Consequently the wedding was late starting.
The wedding breakfast was an hour late beginning due to hotel staff taking three hours to change room from service to meal set-up (instead of the promised two). The same four people did the set-up and serving of the meal for 117 people!
Package included a Master of Ceremony who was introduced the day before the wedding and then neither event coordinator or MofC turned up on the day so chaos reigned behind the scenes. The Maitr'd who filled in for the MC was very good but he was also having to see to all the set up and serving.
The meal took four hours to serve (included 1/2 hr for speeches). The band which had been hired (independently of hotel) from 6pm - 12am could only begin at 10pm instead of 6pm and finished at midnight because they had been there ready and waiting for four hours and were very unhappy. The evening guests had to wait for three hours in the bar waiting for the meal to finish.
The information regarding the function room was very misleading. Dancing was done on the carpet (with very little room). If the weather had been bad it would have been a nightmare with everyone crammed into the room with the dancing as well. To say we were unhappy with how the meal and evening panned out would be an understatement.
It is such a shame that the organization side of the hotel and the service is so bad. Wedding guests staying at the hotel also commented on the general unfriendliness and unhelpful nature of the reception staff.
The venue looks so impressive and the photos are lovely. The reality of the bad service spoiled an otherwise wonderful wedding.
