I Had My Heart Set On Invitations Silver Nutmeg Su

I had my heart set on invitations Silver Nutmeg supply when I saw their very professional-looking stand at The Wedding Show in Earl's Court.

Within a few weeks I called them and left 5 messages before someone finally called me back. If I had only known that this was just a taster of what was to come...

I finally set a date to meet them, which was basically someone's living room in the middle of nowhere. I then understood why I wasn't able to get hold of anyone: The Silver Nutmeg consists only of one person - a mother of two who seems to be picking up her children from school most of the day.

Nevertheless, and because I had my heart set on these invitations, I placed the order and was promised a deadline.

The week before the deadline I contacted the Silver Nutmeg (by email because any other way was fruitless) only to be told that the delivery was delayed and that the offices were about to close for 3 weeks over Christmas!!! My invitations were now delayed by 3 weeks - an anxiety no bride should ever go through, especially when most of her guests are travelling from abroad.

When Ms Silver Nutmeg finally returned,, I received a telephone call from her (very unusual and therefore not a good sign). My invitations had arrived but in the wrong colour - pukey green instead of chocolate brown!!! Do I really need to continue???

In short, the Silver Nutmeg resulted in embarassment and extra travel costs to our international guests, huge and completely unnecessary anxiety to the bride, and grief that could have easily been avoided had I found an honest review online, just like this one...

Well, they lied about the deadline, and they're obviously not stopping there... Not exactly sure whether they're getting me confused with another bride but my wording was ready before I even found them!! And the fact that their typesetter didn't convert my hebrew wording correctly on the proof is my fault too I take it???

The saga seems to be turning into a farce.

The question is, what bride in their right mind would want to pay the supplier who caused her overseas guests to have to pay a premium on their travel tickets because they didn't stick to a deadline?

Please... Silver Nutmeg - don't dig an even deeper hole. I hope my mistake is something every other bride out there can learn something from - maybe then it would have been worth the aggrevation?

This customer took over 3 months to provide the wording for her invitations, even then this customer provided inaccurate Hebrew wording that, was subsequenty corrected by our typesetters.

After this customer agreed the wording and proofs supplied she expected delivery of the invitations as a priority despite being informed up front that delivery is 3 weeks from agreement of proofs.

Our supplier did in this instance process these invitations as sage, not chocolate (one of only two processing errors that have ever occurred with this supplier) and they arrived in the wrong colour, we worked with our supplier to resolve this promptly and offered this customer a discount to reflect this problem.

Looking at the date on Shiriously review, she posted this review after we had commenced small claims court action to recover the discounted outstanding balance that she refused to pay on her invitations.

The Silver Nutmeg.
