Hire Someone Else.

Unfortunately I was not at all happy with the coming days and day of my wedding services. She was very difficult to get a hold of. She would not respond to my emails or phone calls in a professional manner. She schedule 3....3 weddings on my wedding day! She did tell me that due to rescheduling my wedding from Feb to April she already had one wedding scheduled but not two more and she said she would be at mine and have other members of her team at the other wedding but instead she sent her high school and college daughters, friend and husband to be my day of coordinator. Because we rescheduled our wedding I requested her to contact the church to see if the new date was available...She said she tried but no one responded back to her...I called the church to complain why they were not calling her back and they said she never ever called. Both the minister and her mother said this (who do you think is lying?!)There was a lot of mistakes made as well and the floorplan that I designed was not put into place. But the one item that I truly was expecting to see more than anything were the placecard holders that I purchased. They were topiary tree holders and I rented a table and tablecloths for them to be displayed on and instead they were placed at each dinner table without the placecards...the placecards were laying flat on the placecard table. She said they didn't fit in the holder because they were too thin but I tested them before I gave them to her and they worked fine for me. They also forgot to the favors at each designated place setting so instead they went table to table and handed them the out. The ailse runner was missing for my ceremony. I asked her daughter to inform the DJ to announce the wedding party as we entered... She advise me that she didn't have the wedding party names so I had to write them down quickly before we walked in. However we weren't announced into our reception, we walked in to total silence. The planner said that her daughter asked the DJ to announce us but he said no and yelled at her. I contacted the DJ to find out if this was true and he said no, as a matter of fact he said they were very friendly to each other. us. They kept my family waiting outside of the reception in 90 degree weather because they weren't finished setting up when they had since 8am to get the place ready and my reception didn't start til 5:30! The planner says guests were arriving at 4:30 which seems odd since she said our 3:00 wedding started and hour late???? She also said I advised her not to let anyone in til 5:30 but why would that matter IF my wedding started late??? My father told me that they arrived at the reception a little after 5:30 and was told they couldn't come which is why they were sitting outside in the heat. My 85 yr old grandmother who had nothing to drink or eat was forced to sit out in the heat. I am also missing some of my own personal items I bought for the wedding that she has and has not returned to me after two months....just horrible. Her husband however was very nice and accomodating to the things we needed however he came to me on how to do things. I told the planner the day I agreed to hire her that I didn't want to be asked any questions so I can enjoy my day. In fact my sister who was there with me told her to come to her if she needed questions answered but of course that didn't happen and her team constantly asked me what to do throughout the evening! I had to tell them when to do the first dance, cake cutting, garter and bouqet tosses....I thought she had all of that written down and scheduled??? She says I changed the timeline which I did but that was changed and sent to her days before the wedding and her college daughter told me she never received a copy of this timeline. Her price was affordable even though she requires full payment a month before the wedding. And she offered a lot of things for free that you would normally have to rent but you would have to donate items to her as a method of payment. There were other things that didn't go off as planned but I think you get the idea. If I had to do it again I would have rather gotten a more professional high paid planner and paid top dollar to have a seamless reception than what I was given.
