We ordered my daughters wedding dress. Spoke directly to the company, read the reviews, received a few emails.

When I looked at the website today the message was "The Bridalwear Company Ltd Unfortunately we have stopped trading due to unforeseen circumstances." The phone message says the same. No email or call to us. No wedding dress either

£450 now to be reclaimed via Pay Pal... If we can.

I ordered up the Rose dress in cotton candy from the Bridesmaid section. The dress wasn't expected not untill the end off may and turned up begin off may so even better that came early. The dress is beautiful and when i originally rang to order the lady at the other end was very polite and helpful. Would recommend as had no problems at all.

After months of planning and trying on so many dresses, I have finally received the dress of my choice and all I can say is WOW!!

It fits like a glove (sorry for the mix-up in the measurements) and it looks even better than the picture on the website - Cayla. The material is beautifully soft and the train just adds to the grandeur of the dress. I'm going to look a million dollars when I walk up the ailse in August.

My sincere thanks to the Sales team at The Bridalwear Company. They were very patient with me (I changed my mind three times) and were only to happy to help. They also suggested that I order a slightly smaller size as I was on a diet at the time.

Having read some of the previous reviews about this company, I was very hesitant about buying my wedding dress from them. So I decided to ring them first and find out if the problems mentioned still existed.

I spoke to a very helpful gentlemen who explained to me that they had been having problems with one of their distributors but as they now deal directly with the manufacturer, they no longer have a delivery problem. So I decided to take the plunge and I ordered the Serena dress five weeks ago as a rush order, as my wedding is in May. The day after I ordered, I had a phone call from a very pleasant lady who checked my measurements to ensure that I had ordered the right size dress. Thankfully I had.

Well, I received the dress a couple of days ago (1 week early) and I cannot be more happy. The material is much softer than I expected and the quality of the make is second to none. It also fits very well although I will need to have the dress shortened (the lady did tell me this). I have now ordered some lingerie and some shoes to match.

So, from my own experience, I can highly recommend them.

I had the most wonderful experience with the Bridalwear company. The feel of the boutique was amazing and Elena made me felt so confident in the dress I picked. The dress arrived one month before the estimated arrival date and it was EVERYTHING I hoped for. Elena always answered all my queries promptly and I could not be more impressed. HIGHLY recommended.

I have just received my dress that I ordered from them 6 weeks ago and I am absolutely delighted with it. The quality of the material is so lush. The lady I spoke to was always very helpful and went out of her way to ensure that I received my sample materials as quickly as possible. I can't thank them enough for all their help.

I ordered my wedding dress from this company after much looking around. They were very helpful, checking my measurements before taking the order. The chance to pay for the dress in installments was great and it was delivered within two weeks of me making the final payment. I note the other comments made and when I spoke with the company they told me to order as early as possible as often they cannot do anything about wholesalers. I ordered my dress in April, finished paying for it in July and received it at the end of the month ... it fits perfectly, their sizing on the website is absolutely spot on ... one down fall, having to return the dress within a couple of days if it does not fit, luckily I was at home when it was delivered as I had no e-mail from them saying it was on the way, could see that this could catch some people out. Overall I am a happy bunny and looking forward to wearing my dress in September.

I'm afraid I have to agree with the previous reviewers negative review of the Bridalwear company.

I ordered 2 different dresses from them, one quick order and one normal delivery time. The first dress was due to arrive in 2-5 weeks, but the 5th week came and went and I, like the previous reviewer, had to chase the sales team (which seems to be just one person) to find out what was happening. Every time I called I was told they would call me back, but I always had to call them back again myself.

Eventually the dress arrived. On a positive note, I can say that the dress was very nice and really good quality for the price, but it concerned me that this dress was late, as the longer delivery time on the other dress was taking us closer to the wedding date.

I was right to be worried. I called the Bridalwear co. on several occasions as the end of the delivery period (and the wedding) approached. I was told that it was coming in one week. That week came and went and the dress still didn't arrive. Despite saying they would keep me posted they didn't and I had to chase them again to find out that it wasn't coming. I was then told it would come 2 weeks later. I waited, this new date came and went and still no dress. I called them back AGAIN to find out what was going on and eventually (but only after numerous phonecalls) that the dress would not be coming at all. It transpired that they had known this since the week after I ordered the dress, but had forgotten to tell me!

I was refunded the full amount of my whole order, but this is no real compensation for the stress this has caused. With 2 weeks to go to the wedding I am now having to have a dress made for the bridesmaid as it is too late to find anything off the peg which goes with the other dress.

If you want to order from these people, you either have to have nerves of steel or be planning your wedding far enough in advance to have a plan B if the dresses don't materialise.

Their dresses come from China and they basically (I was told this by customer services) they have very very poor communication with the factory and very rarely know what is going to be in each shipment.

I was appalled at the level of customer service - I wasn't even telephoned with the bad news but sent a cowardly email, despite the woman knowing I was waiting for a phonecall from them - she has always done this. They should go into a different line of business where they don't need to be as sensitive to the stresses of organising a wedding and the impact of their appalling service.

I had a wonderful experience with this company from start to finish and couldn't reccomend them highly enough! I travelled to Berkshire (from Kent) to see the dresses first hand and was greeted by the lovely Elena who had the dresses that I wished to try ready and waiting along with some others that she thought I might like. Might I add, that I had dragged along a whole entourage of people and Elena was so accomodating, finding chairs for everyone, making sure they were comfortable and turning air con. on and off at our request!

The dresses that I tried on were all of a beautiful quality and the prices were amazing! I couldn't have afforded a dress from any of the other bridal shops as we're on a really tight budget but I'd have felt cheated if I'd had to have bought a dress from a department store... This way, I get to feel like a princess on a paupers budget!

My dress arrived in approximately 14 weeks, as I was told when I bought it and my emails were always answered within hours giving me reassurance.

My dress arrived yesterday and I had forgotten just how gorgeous it was! I'm so excited and can't thank the Bridal wear company enough for helping me feel so special.

I'd really reccomend booking an appointment and seeing the dresses first hand if you're close enough. The pictures just don't do them enough justice! We stayed over night in a travel lodge and made a weekend of it!
