Go Bridal, Birmingham.

I didnt have much time to find a dress as I was under the 6 months ordering period. When i went into Go Bridal and explained my story, the manager told me she might be able to call the designer to see if they had the dress i wanted in stock and i could put an urgent order in.

So I started looking, plenty of lovely dresses, but none matched my image of the perfect dress until the manager made me try on one of the dresses, pinned bits and bobs and when I looked in the mirror it was closest to the dress I really wanted. She then told me she could release the dress as a sample dress and give me like 10% discount.. As it was in good condition I started to consider the idea.. The manager did not give me space or a moment to think, she kept going on and on about how I would feel if someone walked in and took that dress (obv taking advantage of the situation I was in) she then also explained that all the alterations i need will be done at a good deal of max £200.. I eventually gave in as I was getting worried I may not find a dress.. And paid a deposit..

6 weeks before the wedding I went in for my first fitting and was told to pay another £310 on top of the £1400 i already was paying for the dress !!!

And when i asked about the refund policy, they said i was liable to pay the remaining balance or they will take legal action, what i do after that with the dress is up to me !

£310 for taking in a size, reduce length and get rid of sleeves ! Not to mention that they planned to charge me £190 on paper and £120 cash in hand off paper to the seamstress !

They only care about selling a dress, not considering customers feelings, or situations, and are dishonest to the company it self !

I would never recommend anyone to go there and I am surprised designers even trust them with the dresses !

I was really excited to my appointment but after walking into the shop and being surrounded by so many dresses I was feeling incredibly overwhelmed. However, I was immediately reassured by the lovely sales assistant who took the time to explain the different styles of dresses and how each would fit and suit me. She really listened to what I was saying I liked and didn't like about the dresses and found my perfect dress after only trying on about 5 dresses!

Later we were joined by another sales assistant and both ladies were so friendly and I didn't feel pressurised to buy a dress there and then or spend more than what I had budgeted. It would have been so easy to blow my budget in the shop but they showed me dresses that fitted within my price range. They took their time with the appointment so I didn't feel rushed in the slightest.

The appointment was great and I would recommend the shop to anyone.

During December 13 and January 14, I shopped with my daughter and friend, for my daughter's wedding dress. We visited five different shops in all.

The staff at Go Bridal in Birmingham have a wealth and depth of knowledge - we are so glad that we visited this shop first as the staff welcomed us, put us at our ease and quickly and expertly guided us to the style and shape of dress that was right for my daughter. We left the shop feeling confident about the dress we wanted.

We revisited the shop as we narrowed our choices down; yet again, we received a first class service. A fantastic range of dresses and knowledgeable staff who are able to show empathy for the bride and an understanding of every aspect of choosing and purchasing a girl's most important dress. Thanks to both staff members who looked after us, for a superb service.

A huge thank you to them for the fantastic service I received. Having tried on a number of dresses I was beginning to feel overwhelmed with the experience and confused in the process. Go bridal talked me through the different styles of wedding dresses and helped me draw a conclusion as to the style and shape that would best suit me. Furthermore Go Bridal has a fantastic range of dresses to choose from and believe there would be something there for everyone (don't forget to check out the gems downstairs too!). Once again, thank you for a fantastic and memorable service.

I went to Go Bridal to find my dress with a good idea of what I wanted. The shop itself is nice with a great selection of dresses. The thing that lets it down are the sales assistants.

They wouldn't give me any space, and wouldn't even let me look at my dress properly.The owner was by far the worst and kept droaning on about how many different dresses she had bought and giving me advice that didn't make sense. I would have bought my dress from here but I couldn't bear to deal with them again for the alterations. I found them very negative and they ruined the experience for me.

My mum and my bridesmaids all breathed a sigh of relief once we walked away from the shop. They just didn't have the correct approach.

I went to buy my wedding dress today to this shop. As I am planning to do this only once in my life I wanted this day to b amazing and that is what I got here at go bridal. From the moment we walked in I was made to feel like a princess. The sales ladies there really understand the needs of a bride and cater above and beyond that. They stoxk the most amazing designer dresses for pretty decent prices. The lady showed me so many different dresses and explained to me very carefully as I am such a novice at this about dress shapes and helped me find the right dress for me after trying on a few. My bridesmaids whom I took were really made to feel welcome and the atmosphere in the shop was quite jovial and happy. Everyone was having a good time. Would a 100 per cent reccomed it to anyone looking to buy a wedding dress. One of the requirements for me was that I needed sleeves fitted on to the dress and that was easily sorted as they have in house seamstresses. Also they carry a wide range of bridesmaids dresses in a variety of different colours in beautiful designs which was another plus. All in all an excellent experience and had a blast while getting my dress

What a wonderful team at Go Bridal Birmingham! Special thanks to Jo, Cheryl and Miriam. They made the whole experience for my daughter and myself a total magical one. Their knowledge, friendliness, professionalism was so comforting and calming! We didnt feel rushed or pressurised. We couldnt stop smiling! The range of dressess, veils and accessories are amazing. Thankfully i visited go bridal with my mum for some help with my dress after a recommendation.I am so glad i did , they have the most beautiful range of dresses and some fantastic veils and tiaras ! The staff are so lovely and really made me and my mum feel at ease as i was a little nervous .I have to say it was an experience to remember forever and they helped me to choose my perfect dress thanks to their helpful advice and knowledge.Even down to choosing my bridesmaids dresses , now that was fun ! i really hope the rest of my wedding experience is going to be this enjoyable and I really cannot wait to try my beautiful dress on again !! I visited Go Bridal, Birmingham for my first Bridal shop appointment this weekend. Having never had the need to try on a wedding dress before I was slightly nervous about the experience and had absolutely no idea where to start. We were greeted by all three staff members in a polite and professional manner and spent time with Jo who went through everything with us. There was no pressure at all and Jo talked us through many different styles explaining both their advantages and disadvantages. I was asked to chose three dresses initially to try on. Having had no joy with either of the first two Jo managed to keep me calm and upbeat and also allowed me to go through everything at my own pace. We had assistance from all three staff members in store on the day and each one of them provided us with the vital support that was required. Myself, my two bridesmaids and my Mom were treated amazingly and I would recommed this shop to anyone. At the end of our day we walked away with a wedding dress and the two bridesmaids dresses all ordered from Go Bridal.

I can only describe our experience as excellent and would recommend this shop at Smallbrook Queensway, Birmingham to anyone. My daughter was a little apprehensive prior to the visit but from the word go and introduction from Jo all her fears diminished. The staff were so professional and new exactly what they were talking about. They were extremely friendly and made this a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The range of dresses suited all budgets and we felt at no point any pressure. We felt as though we had 100% attention, and we were surprised how easy it was and I can only say that this was due to the expertise of a highly professional team. In fact we ended up ordering my daughter's wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses in one visit.
