Absolutely Rubbish

Terrible customer service, we were basically ignored and left to look through dresses on our own, I ran for the hills and will not be returning!

Worst Customer Service I Have Ever Experienced.

I will start off my saying that my dress was beautiful, however that was thanks to the designer. Not Berketex and especially not the staff.

They are friendly and on the ball until they take your money. Thereafter, expect nothing from them.

My veil was the first thing ordered, and i did not receive it until the day before my wedding. Jill and Emily were supposedly meant to phone me when it arrived - but they didn't. As i result, i contacted them a few weeks after they were supposed to call me and was only allowed to collect it a few days before my wedding as they only do fittings on certain days which i can understand. They had infact ordered me the wrong one. Jill knew it was the wrong one, but didn't acknowledge the mistake until i over heard her on the phone to head office. No apologies. She then told me that it would be delivered the next day at 2pm but will phone me and tell me. I wasted the whole of the following day waiting for the phone call which never arrived. As you can imagine, I was incredibly busy the day before my wedding!!!? I then called them and they said, oh it came in the morning.. they had no excuse for not calling me.

I went in to collect it and was ignored by Jill completely and her sales assistant Emily was useless and oblivious. The day before my wedding, collecting my outfit. I was wondering if they were trying to ruin the experience for me?!

They also tore my dress between me paying for it and going for my first fitting. No apologies. They cut round the dress and it was visible that it did not look right. They also added on poppers which takes the trail up should you wish to socialise, have a party - with the dress on. I did not party - which means i did nothing out of the ordinary to damage the dress however TWO poppers broke off. Jill did a shamble of a job, if you have her do this for you - expect your dress to look a mess and you not being able to enjoy your evening with the dress on.

Bottom line is, the service is rubbish. You are at risk of things going horribly wrong. Berketex need to find new staff. The staff need some motivation in life as they work like dead donkeys. They will speak to you if and when.

Lovely Staff And Dresses!

I went to Berketex for my wedding dress after learning my mother and auntie both had beautiful dresses from there. I took my mother with me to all of my appointments and she was very impressed by the service once again, as was I! They were professional in how they talked to me at length about my day and the styles I liked, but were also relaxed and down to earth with me and didn't pressure me to buy. We found the one almost instantly as it was beautiful, covered in chiffon and lace and exactly the style I wanted, when I tried it on I knew straight away. The ladies gave me a good discount and were more than helpful in every aspect of our visit. I would recommend their services to any bride to be looking for their dream dress!

They See You Coming....

I can say that I've had such a bad experience with this company, they are awful. Please think very carefully before arranging an appointment......

They use very hard sell techniques and you often feel like they are forcing you to go with them. Their ace card is to tell you that they have special 20% off but only if you buy today, so this can be very tempting if spending an average 1600 on a dress. But from there on and once you've signed their contract/paperwork you then become a number and that is it! You are also unable to change any part of the order. I will point out that all dresses are made to order and not size and they will also throw in their compulsory alterations package at the point of sale but please read the small print on how much altering they will do.

All they are then interested in is your money and not you!! They become rude and uncaring. They messed up my order and I was made to write to their Bridal House HO but don't expect written apologies or any form of acknowledgement or any form of compensation! They are truly disgusting and I dont know how they continue to get away with it.... Please please please think twice before going in, luckily I managed to get my dress out of there and am getting it altered elsewhere. But I've been left seriously out of pocket by them and be upset and stressed. Oh also, their shops in both Watford and London are shabby, run down and impersonal, with no privacy. So definitely not one to put on the list if you're after a special wedding dress shopping experience. I've had better service buying milk from my local shop.

I Found The Staff Obnoxious, Rude & Offensive. I W

I found the staff obnoxious, rude & offensive. I was looking for the perfect wedding dress only to be insulted by a shop assistant. I was deeply hurt and this made my experience a dissappointment!!!
