AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! I had an awful experience here and advise any future brides NOT to trust this shop with your dress. They “measured” me before ordering the dress I liked. I was told that I didn’t need additional length and it was so short when it arrived, the seamstress they recommend even rang the shop when I went with my dress to say she’d need to add 7 inches of lace to the bottom of my dress for it to be right! Once my dress arrived, the customer service was atrocious. The shop made up so many lies about me and when I was “measured” (I say this with inverted commas as the shop used this term when suited but then denied measuring me as this would make me have consumer rights). Since sharing my story locally, I have heard so many awful experiences of other brides who purchased their dresses here.

i walked in to because i love you and within minutes the ladies recommended a dress they thought would be perfect for me and how right they were i loved it ,they ordered it and a week later like they said it arrived and the price was excellent ,the ladies are so nice and friendly , so in a week id found my perfect dress and on the day everyone said how gorgeous the dress was so yes i would recommend this shop.

I bought a dress from because i love you for my wedding in2008.I wanted a red dress i had searched everywhere but found one here it was a prom dress.I found the staff here extremley helpful.

The service at this shop was second to none. The staff were helpful supportive and patient, nothing was too much trouble. There is a wide selection of beautiful dresses at reasonable prices and excellent value for money. When then dress was chosen we were told when it would be in the shop and it arrived on time as promised. The friendly staff really made buying a dress a special experience.

I walked into Because I Love You in October slightly stressed about my wedding in January from a recommendation off my friend. The girls were so helpful and assured me they could get me a dress in time for my big day, it would be a bit close but not a problem. They all helped me pick a beautiful Ronald Joyce gown, The dress arrived the week before Christmas and I went and tried it on, it needed a bit of altering but they sent me to their lovely dressmaker who assured me again it would be perfect for the day. It was!

I cannot recommend Because I Love You enough!

I can not recommend this shop and its staff enough. After going to several shops, their service was second to none compared to the others. It was a busy Saturday and yet all 3 members of staff took the time to offer their opinion and give suggestions on other dresses to try. They had an excellent range of dresses and accessories too.

Awful customer service no one informed us that the dresses were going to be a month late until we had to chase it up. ordered bridesmaid dresses 2 sizes too big in which we had to pay for there partner alteration shop to alter twice. It's just a big sham. It's a shame I can't rate minus stars

I was very dissappointed with the service at Because I Love You and their alterations lady when we purchased our bridesmaid dresses. There are a few issues. At first when we were initally looking the staff were pushy and keen to take money although we hadn't made a final decision on a dress! Once we made up our minds and placed an order (in January) we had to chase the shop twice after the dresses were not delivered (in July!) and were given no apology. The wedding is September. The sample tried on was a perfect fit and individual measurements were taken however when the dress arrived they were both size 18 (non of the bridesmaids are size 18, and are very different shaped ladies, so two of the same dress 3 sizes too big didn't make sense). The dresses were handed over in plastic bags - not professional considering they were over £200 each to buy! We were told to hold them as they couldn't and were instructed to use the alterations shop across the road. When it was time for the fittings the alterations woman wouldn't offer saturday appointments or evening which was the only time the bridesmaids could make it, one lives in Wales and the other works full time. The date she offered was the WEDDING DAY!!!!! Only 8 months after buying them!! We tried to get our money back and go elsewhere but we were refused a refund - the work hadn't even been done! When it was queried why the dresses were completely the wrong size as we had ordered them made to measure, the lady looked at the bridesmaid and said - 'i'm surprised you got into the sample' to say she was furious was an understatement. Top and bottom of it is that the dresses were ordered in the wrong size so that they needed altering. Getting married is stressful and expensive enough without unhelpful, down right nasty peole and poor customer service on top. Although the dresses are reasonably priced you can't pay for service. One of the bridesmaids is getting married soon and she will definately not be using the bridal shop or the alterations shop across the road. I wouldn't even recommend them to someone I didn't like.

the staff are extremely helpful and friendly, I tried on loads of dresses and and eventually decided on the one, my dress was ordered at christmas for a 6 month deliverly it arrived in 4 months. Once they had my money and was told that it cudnt be held at the shop due to alterations!!!it was basically handed to me in a plastic bag and sent out of the door. I would recommend the shop based on the amount of dresses and value for money but for aftersales its a big no.
