Do Not Buy From These Cowboys
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, if you read this and other reviews then its you own fault, buoght some ram for my laptop which never arrived, what a surprise no answer to my emails...waste of time phoning...just another cowboy outfit.
Will never buy from again, and will have to get my credit card company to do a chargeback, buch of idiots.
Stick to the better stores like Ebuyer, Scan and Aria.
I spend thousands with these companys repairing and building laptops and PC's so its their loss!!!
I suspect that this is because of their choice of delivery company. The use Interlink Express. Read the review of Interlink Express on this site and you will see what I mean.

Items Rarely In Stock, But They Do Not Tell You Th
Items rarely in stock, but they do not tell you this. Unable to honour delivery time. Extremely unhelpful and impolite staff (probably because customers are rarely happy with them). Buying anything from them could only be described as painful.
I think their problem may well be poor communication. Some of these on line shops will use email and answer emails promptly. Savastore use a web form, and one has no idea as to whether anyone reads it. The telephone is useless with most companies. They filled my order within three days which isn't bad, but Interlink Express won't deliver it from their local depot, although we get lots of deliveries from other companies.
Ordered Items Advertised As In Stock Turned Out To
Ordered items advertised as in stock turned out to be out of stock. Wasn't informed about this. Only found out on enquiring a week later when nothing had arrived. Customer service seemed unhelpful.

On Monday I Placed An Order With Them For An Acer
On Monday I placed an order with them for an Acer 5633WLMI Notebook at £492 excluding VAT + £4.65 + £13.99 delivery. Then I decided to cancel as I saw a model with the Geforce Go 7300 for £557 excluding VAT.
So I phoned them, and after 20 minutes or so, I got through to a lady who said my order had already been cancelled as the address was not authorised (then I remembered I hadn't changed my credit card address to reflect my new address).
So I then reordered with my old address, as the delivery address (which is my mothers place) and ordered the model I wanted. Then I saw a model with an integrated webcam and 20Gb bigger hard drive for £7.50 more, so I cancelled the second order and ordered a third time.
Now the first order was cancelled. The second order said held awaiting cancellation, so I emailed Savastore to make sure they cancelled it, and I also wanted to make sure they deducted the VAT from the new order, as I'm located in the Channel Islands. I got no response to emails, so I tried to phone (this was the seco2nd phone call), and after 20 minutes or so I gave up. Then I received an email saying my second order had been cancelled - great.
Then I sent more emails requesting that the VAT be deducted from my latest order, but I received no reply - but I received an invoice and dispatch note via email (the invoice included the VAT). Unsure whether it had been deducted, I phone them a third time today, and after 20 minutes, I got through to a guy who said it hadn't been deducted, and he would deduct the VAT and refund my account.
I've since found out they Savastore use a 10p per minute line, so I reckon I've racked up about £8 in phone call charges.
I have also found out that I could have ordered it from acernotebooks.co.uk, and it would have worked out about £5 cheaper, and I might not have had the problems getting the VAT refunded. But, you live and learn I guess. If Savastore do indeed deduct the VAT as they said they would, and I receive the item within the next few days, it only works out at about £13 more expensive than acernotebooks.co.uk, and that's including the 1 hour phone calls to Savastore customer services.
Still cheaper then Dabs.com by about £15 - £20, so I would say Savastore aren't bad, but they don't reply to their emails. And seeing as the guy on the phone said the VAT hadn't been deducted, it seems as though they don't read the emails, and checking Google, it seems that's a common complaint. Also, their customer service line is 10p per minute.
So you can quickly rack up a sizable bill on your phone trying to contact them. I suppose it's alright if you don't need to contact them. And their prices are good, but for me, getting the VAT deducted was a little tricky because of the poor communication. Still, if it arrives soon and the VAT has been refunded I will be pleased.
*Update*
Well I checked my credit card balance, and it was still saying £684.84, which is the order including the VAT. The order was processed on Wednesday and didn't show on my balance until today - so if the refund was processed yesterday, it wouldn't show on my balance until tomorrow, so I was expecting it to show tomorrow. Despite this, I searched Google and found 3 email addresses for staff at Watford. I emailed all three and got a reply within 2 hours, saying that a refund of £101.94 had been applied to my debit/credit card. So it seems you can get through to Savastore if you know who to contact. The [email protected] is useless.
Now I await delivery of my order, and as long as it is the right item I shall be pleased, and I would place another order with them, but I shall keep those email addresses in my address book for next time.
20 minutes waiting on the telephone. Don't use companies that won't interact by email.
Sometimes though it is necessary to contact the retailer. The fact that its nigh on impossible to have any sort of communication with Savastore via email makes it that little bit more frustrating and time consuming, as you have to wait for a reply which never comes, which is annoying. Email is the first thing you try in this day and age when trying to contact an online retailer, but I have found the best way to contact Savastore is by phone. You can't be ignored, but you have to hold for 20 - 30 minutes @ 10p per minute. The only way of contacting them by email is to get the direct email address of one of their more senior staff. That seems to result in a response.
I used to work for an online retailer when I first left university, and the moral of this story is to make sure you know what you want before you order. It is also standard practice to ship goods to the cardholder's registered address, and terms and conditions almost always make this clear.
I Ordered A Cordless Dual Dect/voip Phone From Sav
I ordered a cordless dual dect/VOIP phone from Savastore, which was due to be in stock in 1 - 2 weeks. I placed the order, then I happened to go onto the site about a week later to check to see if it was in stock yet.
The order had been cancelled. No explanation whatsoever, and no email was sent to me to inform me that the order had been cancelled. The product was still listed on the site, and I had no clue whatsoever as to what the problem might be.
I was rather annoyed because they would have let me wait indefinitely on that order rather than let me know something was wrong. I tried phoning customer services, but I gave up after being hold for 20 minutes. I sent them an email asking for an explanation weeks ago, but as yet I have had no reply whatsoever, and I'm not holding my breath waiting for one.
I will not be ordering anything from them ever again, since they obviously can't be bothered sending an order or communicating with their customers at all.
I totally agree with your comment. Savastore really don't know what customer service is. They think that having a very low price will make customers go to them.
I Bought A Laptop From This Company And Returned I
I bought a laptop from this company and returned it after a few days because it was faulty. I have been battling for 8 weeks to get my money back. Do not even think about buying from them.

I ordered a DVD Recorder and some DVDs. There was a slight delay in delivery so I phoned customer Service (who were easy to contact) and they dispatched my DVD Recorder as they were waiting for stocks of the DVDs I had ordered. Recorder came promptly with City Link which I could track on their website.

Savastore Is A Good Store. I Am Surprised At The A
Savastore is a good store. I am surprised at the amount of negative reviews. They offer good prices, and both my brother and I have used them for about 2 years. We have never had a problem with customer services or delivery. A lot of items tend to be out of stock, but I have found that if you filter search for in stock items, then there are no problems.
Searching on in stock items makes no difference. I have ordered items listed as in stock, only to find out a week later that they actually weren't. On checking the website, it was still listed as in stock when I'd been told it wasn't.

Savastore Has Cheap Prices. When In Stock, Usually
Savastore has cheap prices. When in stock, usually arrives the next day. When not in stock you don't know when it will arrive. As you can see, I've spent an awful lot with them but of late are getting more & more annoyed with the service. They refuse to answer emails and when you do manage to get through on the phone, they cut you off if they don't know what to do. I ordered 2 things last week, one arrived the next day. The second item, even though it was said to be in stock when I ordered it, still hasn't arrived, even though it has been in stock for the past 5 days. I refused to pay them for the delivery as both items were originally charged to be dispatched together.

I Am Building A Pc From Scratch, And The Savastore
I am building a PC from scratch, and the Savastore web site has the cheapest prices I could find on the web for the majority of the items I needed.
Unfortunately, they won't deliver directly to my work address. The courier company won't deliver to my work address after a failed delivery, unless Savastore tell them to, even if I have the attempted delivery cards and proof of identity. I am waiting to see if Savastore will tell them to deliver to my work address, but I doubt it (even after I confirmed the delivery company would be able to deliver to my work address after a failed attempt before ordering). Fraud prevention is not a valid reason to provide woefully inadequate customer service. Stock levels listed on the site are completely inaccurate. I can't get hold of customer support, or they are ignoring me. The contact details listed on website are inaccurate or incomplete. The courier company had incorrect contact details for them. They also sent an incomplete order after a week, and the remaining products are still due, a month after ordering (was listed as 2-5 days).
Cheap prices and woeful service. After reading other reviews on this site I only hope I get the parts I ordered, if I get them at all.
