Sickening Customer Service Never In All My Life

Never in all my life have I received such poor customer service from the shop and head office... I was brought a present from a friend who was not told that it was only 14 days to bring it back they gave her a gift receipt to give to me she bought it on the 11th January and i received it o. The 22nd January for my birthday the same day I went centre parcs for a weekend and came back late 25Th January I returned the top on the 26th which me and my friend thought you got 28days but even it being 14 days it was only 1 day out the store staff in Harlow were not helpful and said there's nothing the store could do and I had to ring head office so I rang while I was in the shop was waiting for an answer for 22 minutes and I explained what had happened and she went to ask her manager for permission to extend warranty as it was only 1day out but when she came back the manager rejected it! And the reason was the date is printed on the receipt for a reason?! I hung up after explaining I was never using select again but was still upset with the lack of customer service so I rang back again and. Asked for a manager I explained the problem and she said she will get the manager for me she had taken my name and number but the phone was cut off I waited to see if they would ring back but they didn't I rang again and was waiting another 25 mins for an answer I explained the situation and again and was put o. Hold for a further 15 mins when she came back she explained that there was nothing they could do at head office as they only deal with online and the store manager should have dealt with this! They rung Harlow store and spoke to the supervisor and found out the manager was not in today and would be in tomorrow I was told I would have to go to the store again and speak to the manager... I explained that this was fair as I had been dealing with this for nearly 3 hours already and was told by the store they couldn't do anything and now I was being told they should of dealt with it and there's nothing head office could do... So I had wasted all that time for nothing she replied I understand and got the manager for me who said she will ring the manager tomorrow morning and leave me a voice mail as it was only 1 day out she will try her best to make sure i can exchange it! And leave me a voicemail letting me know the outcome But come the next day I heard nothing!! This company is just taking our money where's the good will clearly they don't wish to treat any of there customers with respect I will certainly not be using them again

Avoid Shopping At Select

Worst customer service ever. Staff are rude instore and head office do not reply at all. I will not be shopping at Select ever again.

Terrible Service

I shopped at Select for the first time last week and purchased a couple of items. When I got home I noticed that one of the knitted tops had a 'pull' on the front of it and found out that it had been caused by their own plastic tie that has the label on. I went back to the Romford store to exchange it for another one but they did not have my size in stock. I asked for a refund and was refused. I was told that they only do exchanges or credit notes. I explained that I would prefer a refund as the top was faulty and was then given a credit note saying that it had 9 months date on it. I said that I usually do not shop there and was told that surely I must be back within 9 months!! err NO!! I will not be shopping there in future... I tried to call the Head Office when I got home as surely I had legal rights to a refund. The Head Office was shut. I tried to leave an email but this would not go through as I did not have an order number. So, I telephoned today only to be told that I should not have accepted the credit note as I DID have a legal right... I explained that I was given no choice in the matter. Her answer was 'well, we cannot do anything about this now you have a credit note..... THIS IS A JOKE... I had faulty goods, was given a credit note in ERROR... they SHOULD sort this out, ......

SELECT....YOU HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER WITH THIS ATTITUDE

The Best 'choice" For The Worst Customer Service. Ever.

After owning a pair of GStar jeans for less than 3 weeks, purchased from Choice who have shops in Lakeside, Bluewater, both Westfields, Canary Wharf and Romford plus a website I noticed that there were 2 holes and a stress rip at the back.

I returned them to the Romford branch where they would not refund on them until their head office had looked at them as they could not work out how the holes had appeared even though one was on a seam. They said it would also take 2 weeks to get back to me (even though the head office is only a mile down the road). As far as I was concerned there was a problem with the waxy type denim.

After a week I contacted the head office only to be told that 'We don't refund on rips'

I challenged this load of bunkum and told them that I had not ripped them and that the fault was in the material. I told them that if I did not get a refund I would hand deliver a letter to their owner Laurence Davis informing him that he had 7 days to refund or I would take court action.

Two days later the customer service dept told me that they were sending the jeans back to GStar in Holland to which I objected. I told them that my contract is with them and not GStar. They then informed me that as their contract was with GStar they were within their rights.

After some more emails back and forth and with my last one being ignored, I decided to litigate.

They did not contest the summons and eventually paid nearly twice the amount back because of costs, without going to court.

I have first hand story's about the poor customer service from this group. I have spent a lot of money over the years with this company, but now they have lost me forever.

I wish I could give these idiots no stars but unfortunately I can't.

So do yourself a favour and stay well away from their shops and website.
