Buyer Beware!!!! Dont Buy From Here
IF THERE WAS A NO STAR FOR THIS COMPANY THATS WHAT I WOULD GIVE!!!, ORDERED HOMECOMING DRESS FROM THIS COMPANY, COLOR WAS COMPLETELY OFF, SENT A PICTURE TO SHOW WHAT WE THOUGHT WE WERE GETTING AND ASKED FOR A REFUND, COMPANY SAID DRESS WAS FINE AND WOULD NOT REFUND!!! THIS IS A HORRIBLE BUSINESS AND ANY COMPANY THAT WILL NOT GIVE A REFUND AFTER THEY ASK FOR A PICTURE AND YOU SEND ONE IS NOT LEGIT. DON'T BUY FROM THEM!!!!!! AND THE DRESS LOOKS MORE LIKE A CHEAP HALLOWEEN COSTUME!!!
Dress Never Arrived, Said They Would Refund, Refun
Dress never arrived, said they would refund, refund never arrived and paying by paypal with it's short timescale for refunds make it easy for merchants like this company to trade. Don't touch them.

Dress came and it was a terrible fit. I asked about returning then they wanted pictures of dress on and off, pictures of tags etc to see what the issue was.
This was back in March. I am still waiting for a refund. They never bother getting back to me. I have to email them

I know how U feel I bought dress in April after the delivery time past I emailed and was told to be patient I emailed again and they said dress had sold out, I sled for refund in July and I am still waiting
Scam! Do Not Order
I had ordered two prom dresses on the 10th of may 2013. They told me it will take a month to be made. However, it took longer over 3 mothes therefore i cancelled the order and asked for a refund. they said i will recive teh refund within 3-7 working days. It has been over 2 months and still have not recieved the refund they keep saying please be patiencent the refund is been processed.
Don't Bother
I ordered a dress beginning of April and after the time scale they said it takes to make and post I emailed to ask where it is they replied please be patient its just bringing made, then more time past I emailed again then they have the cheek to tell me was out of stock, so cancelled order and ask for refund that was in July and I am still waiting. If not then they shouldn't be trading, I tried tell bbc watchdog but no joy, I paid through PayPal and because went over time they couldn't help, so do not buy anything from this website. I keep emailing them for my refund and I keep getting please be patient and I have now run out of patience.
Never Order From This Site
I ordered a Prom Dress for my daughter in February 2013, after several months and many e-mails, they finally told me it was unavailable and they would refund me my money. It is now August and still no refund, after many many e-mails, on line chats and phone calls, all they ever say is "Please be patient" well I can tell you my patience has well and truly ran out, I dont think this Company actually exists, there is no postal address for this Company anywhere on the site.
If you have ordered a dress and haven't received it or are awaiting a refund please contact the Financial Ombudsman and report this Company. As I paid by Paypal and 45 days passed Pay Pal refuse to help. I dont think I will ever receive a refund and this Company must be stopped, how is it allowed to trade?
I have been advised to contact Trading Standards by the Ombudsman as they may be able to help.
Now had contact from the Ombudsman and they cant help, we need to get in touch with Trading Standards, if enough of us do this, they may take action against Joy Dress.

Not Worth Ordering
I ordered 2 dresses from Joydress which looked beautiful on the website. However I started to worry when they took longer than advised to arrive and after reading other reviews. They did eventually arrive after about a month, but they never responded to my emails asking where they were.
The BROWN dress I had ordered turned up GREEN. The material was satiny and shiny in the picture with beading detail at the front, however in reality it was a wishy washy pale green made of polyester with different embellishment. It was also uneven at the front. The red dress did look like the picture but was too tight at the bottom and so badly made at the top that it was unwearable.
I opened a dispute with paypal and agreed to a partial refund in order to get something.
Everyone should be aware that Joydress are based in China and make returns very difficult, plus you only have 45 days from date of purchase to open a dispute with paypal. Buyers should also be aware that paypal will help you get funds from the seller but will not give them to you directly.
My dispute was accepted and closed within a matter of days. I did not persue a full refund as at least they did attempt to send the dresses and someone had to be paid for making them. However, in my opinion they should make them a little bit more expensive and give better quality items rather than having so many disappointed customers. Both my dresses ended up in the bin.
Don't Order From Joydress !!
I placed an order with Joydress back in April for a dress for my upcoming Vow Renewal. I waited and waited and waited. Chased order, told numerous times "thankyou for being so understanding, we need more time to make your dress, We will chase the factory" . I waited until the end of June before finally getting contacting them to cancel the order and requested a full refund. 3 weeks later after being promised I would have a refund, I'm still waiting. I now know that I won't EVER see that money again. I so wish I'd done a review search on JOYDRESS and found this page. I wouldn't ever have placed the order.
It always goes on beyond the paypal 45 day cut off too so no chance of getting anything back that way. This has happened to me too, Ive been waiting since February for a refund and paid by Pay Pal, please contact the Financial Ombudsman as they are looking into the 45 day cut off situation with Pay Pal
Not A Complete Scam But Completely Risky!
I fell in love with my prom dress that I got from this website and now I have recieved it I still very much do love my dress.
HOWEVER, it is not exactly the same as the image although you should never expect it to be the detail was no where near what was depicted in the product image. Also it came so late after the date of dispatch and predicted date of arrival.
My mother and I worried about how late it did get to us so I decided to google the website and see if it was real and to my dismay 99% of the reviews I did read claimed that the website is a complete scam. I was absolutely devastated so my mother contacted PayPal to complain and the day after, my dress arrived! I was so shocked and happy and I believe that I was just very lucky.
Although it's not the exact same as what I ordered it is still very good for the price we paid for it.
I definitely would not recommend this website because of the very high risk of wasting your money and your hopes on your dream dress but I guess it wast a complete scam.
Based In China! Bad Product!
We received a poorly made dress, with loose stitching and wonky seems. When we tried to contact them there was no phone number or address you can only communicate through email which made them very difficult to get hold of. When they did finally reply they offered us a 10% refund. This,for me, was not acceptable and against our basic UK consumer rights, the dress is faulty and a full refund should be given. So we contacted them again communicating our feelings on the matter, asking for a full refund. Joy dress then offered a 20% refund. Again this is not acceptable, so we continued on this cycle for 2 months which became extremely frustrating. Now Joy Dress have told us we should take a 50% refund because if we send the product we will to pay for shipping and customs which will amount to over 50% of the dresses price so we would loose out! Unbelievable the product is faulty it is their responsibility to incur these costs.
So my advice is to deal with a more local company not one based in china!
