A New Experience!

Are you bored of professional qualified beauticians? Fed up of people complimenting you on how great your nails look? Then I wholeheartedly recommend Millicents!

Millicents offer great value for money, for no extra charge you also get your cuticles and parts of your finger painted along with (most) of your nails!

Pioneers in beauty, they don't want you to have straight/gently curved boring nails like everyone else; every nail is individually destroyed into its own unique mess. No ones going to laugh at you for following the crowd anymore, thanks Millicents, you trendsetter you!

Millicents are powering through the stereotype that beauticians only care about where you're going on holiday and mindless small talk. You can expect to be grilled on topics such as 'How do you cope being single?' 'Why divorce ruins families' and my personal favorite 'so, you hate your mum then?'

Best of all, once you give up after 4 nails and leave to get your nails salvaged elsewhere... They won't refund you! Thanks Millicents, my wallet was getting a little heavy, you're so thoughtful :)

Avoid This Place Like The Plague

I got a deal of wowcher for supposedly remy hair extensions. When arriving at the salon I was not greeted, not offered tea or coffee and had sit there for 4 hours absolutely freezing.

When returning home I realised how cheap the hair looked, my friend said there was loads of patches without hair extensions and u could see the clumps where it had been glued in.

I then woke up the next morning and some of the hair had fallen out, it was coming out in clumps in the brush and then it went bushy and looked like barbie hair. She tried to pull them out with pliers after I went to complain and didn't even apologise.

Never again she also over charged me for hair that hadn't even been put in.

Don't Waste Your Time!!!

Having read the reviews of how bad this place was I thought to give it the benefit of the doubt and try it out! However I WISH I listened to the reviews and not have wasted my time!

This is the most horrendous place I have ever been too!!

4 colours to choose from for a "luxury" manicure and pedicure?? Really?!? (All of which looked clear!)

The atmosphere was horrible, they lacked professionalism and overall the place was a mess.

I didn't even wait to get my nails done I walked straight out, not like the staff were bothered!

Never will I Waste money buying deals on wowcher again!!!

Incompetent Business!

I am utterly disgusted and disappointed at the service I received at Millicent's Hair and Beauty. I unfortunately came into contact with this company via a Groupon deal.

When they initially booked me in for a Shellac Manicure and Pedicure on Thursday 14th August 2015 at 5pm, and even sent a confirmation email from a 'Gabby Benavidez', I felt pleased with their level of professionalism. Or so I thought.

I arrived for my appointment on time, and inquired about my beauty treatments. The beautician looked at me dumbfounded. A customer was already sitting with her. She seemed not able to find any words (from sheer embarrassment), and muttered intelligible words under her breath. Eventually, she grunted that she knew nothing about my booking, and lazily directed me to speak to the manager. Yeah, thanks love for your help.

When I queried the matter with the manager, she also said that she did not know about my appointment booking. She looked in the business appointment book and noted that the receptionist drew an 'x' over my name. The manager explained that apparently it meant that I had phoned up and cancelled the appointment! I did no such thing. I proceeded to show evidence that I had received a confirmation email stating the date and time of the appointment.

The manager looked at me blankly and said that it was not her, but rather her reception staff who was handling the bookings (great, hands on approach there, manager!). She suggested that I wait one hour at the beauty shop until the beautician completed with the customer ahead of me. I declined. Why exactly would I want to waste my time waiting around? I neither had the time nor the patience at that point. It's safe to say that my bold was boiling. The manager then offered to reschedule my appointment to another day, but I declined once again.

I feel outraged that I received such poor service from an incompetent business. I did not even get a heartfelt apology from the staff. It has left such a bad taste in my mouth, hence why I wrote a strong letter of complaint to Groupon. They have promptly replied, and will investigate my concern and issue me a refund on the grounds of appalling customer service.

Save your hard earned money. DO NOT touch this so-called 'hair and beauty' parlour with a barge pole!

Completely Shocked!!! And I'm Not Stush

Worst back massage ever!!! I got there at 1:45, couldn't find me in app book! I was told to wait!! At 2:23 someone finally came from the back and asked me to follow her with no apologies!! There was a man sleeping in the hallway!! In the box room she told me take of my top clothes and bra, she didn't give me a towel and there was a ceiling window no curtains!! It was not a proffessional massage, she softly rubbed her hands up and down my back, the she would drop her hands and heavliy exhale like shed really had enough then put pressure on my knots for x3 rubs then shed stroke my bk again. After 20 mins of "massaging" without warning she started painting this cold slop on my back and left it for a while then used a WELL used sponge to wipe it of. I walked out the door at 3:15. That was not a 1 hr luxury back massage waste of time and money, the worse thing is, i feel like they really don't care and are happy too take the living PISStols out of people!!

Awful

I brought a Brazilian keratin treatment from groupon and was excited to get it done as I've heard some fantastic reviews. First of all when booking the appointment on the phone I found the receptionist very rude with no customer service skills, however as I had already purchased the voucher for £50. I needed to use it so was hoping it would be fine once I'm there. The hair stylist was polite to me however she was there with her baby sitting in her push chair for over 2 hours just facing and watching me. She was doing my hair aswel as looking after her very young child extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable to watch. The manager also came in at one point and did not even greet me or offer me a drink or anything. Also the beauty therapist that was there sat gossiping with the barber and many of his friends about inappropriate things. An extremely unprofessional place of business.

As for the hair treatment it was very bad. The hair stylist did spend 2 hours on my hair but I have no idea what she was doing as the keratin treatment did not work it was just like getting a wash and blow dry and I left with my hair quite frizzy I get it straighter just washing and blow drying it myself. I would never go here again a waste of money and time no matter how much you pay on groupon it is just not worth it.

Cut it short I brought a wowcher Mani Peni treatment and the women was a Slow 3 year old painting nails like a snail.

The place is a dump !!

EVERYONE who works there is disabled.

DO NOT GO WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY

Simply Terrible

I had a groupon voucher for shellec nails. The salon were running 30 minutes late. No apology given, and staff were just out right rude. The nail artist was shockingly bad. I feel a 5 year old could have done a better job. My nails were all different shades of varnish and the therapist appeared baffled when I pointed this out. Some 4 hours later after I had had I done, my whole thumb nail flicked off. A further 2 nails also fell off. What a waste of an hour of my life

i had a appointment for a facial and back massage the manger was doing my treatments she had really unpleasant smell that was unbearable i was heaving the back massage was meant to be relaxing but unfortunately it wasn't it was far from it it was like she was taking all her anger out on my back so it was very painful the staff are very rude and it was full of the owners friends a member of staff has been allowed to bring her child into the salon which is very dangerous as the owner is not covered for the baby the member of staff gave the baby to a customer to hold while she was doing a treatment this is outrageous and wrong a customer is not there to be baby sitting children that belong to staff members i wouldn't recommend that you come to this salon they have very low hygiene standards the male receptionist was walking around with his socks and shoes off which is not very professional at all he was also screaming and shouting as if he was a child in a school playground this is not appropriate as you do expect to see this at a place of work

Lux Facail

Had a facial today it was nice to relax and enjoy the facial the staff were very friendly and welcoming did enjoy my time
