This company has just been exposed on rip off Britain for lying and stating they are based in the UK when in actual fact they based in china. The wigs featured on the show were of very poor quality. When the customer tried to return them for a refund it became a battle of will where the customer could not win. When the wigs were inspected by an expert he stated they were of very poor quality and totally unacceptable.

Do Not Buy!!

This purchase was a disaster, the wig was shoddy and a terrible cut, nothing like the picture. When trying to get my money back i was palmed off with 40/50/60 gbp and was e-mailing for 2 weeks to this company and was told it would take `a long time to get my money back`. Eventually got full amount of my money back 176 gbp via Paypal. So be warned and go elsewhere :)

Purchased wig from Halowigs As soon as payment went through PayPal realised something wrong as Chinese writing came up Tried rouse their live chat line but was told busy After a few days despatch wasn't confirmed so opened a dispute with Paypal they sent me a tracking number but was unable to track - bogus site Eventually after 2 wks this "thing" arrived Absolutely no quality different to advertised item short instead of long and brown instead of blonde! Got in touch with Paypal and said it was nothing like I ordered Halowigs have then started phoning me twice a day and emailing to get me to stop dispute They kept saying they would refund me £10 then £15 and I could keep the wig What do I want with this rubbish item! They then offered me refund of wig £57 but said I would lose postage £7 I refused and said Paypal would deal with the case and indeed I was awarded a full refund yesterday by PayPal Donot deal with Halowigs themselves they will dupe you into believing they will refund just to close the dispute Ican't understand why they are still allowed to operate This has been going on for ages using different names as well BEWAre Beware Beware !!!!!

Oh good I'm glad u stuck to your guns and got a total refund I cant imagine why PayPal do any dealings with this awful company after it has been proved to them so many times this company rips people off I don't know how to get them off the internet Ive left bad comments on their facebook there used to be more but they seem to have gone but I left 3 comments and they r still on there.I bought a lovely wig from Simply Wigs and they have lots of bad reviews on Halowigs and Wigshow on their site which r quite interesting Happy wig hunting!

Thank you for sharing your resolution number. Unfortunately I read your reply after speaking to PayPal. However, fortunately after arguing with PayPal and demanding to speak to a manager to report them for continuing to use Wigshow as a client, they agreed firstly to refund £25 of my return costs.

When I still demanded to speak to their manager, as my return costs would cost me a whopping £57 due to PayPal advising against using Royal Mail as my item would not be tracked to the door as required by PayPal, they finally agreed to refund the full cost of my return costs.

Thank you for replying so many times and helping in this matter. Now I'm getting all my money back, I can focus my efforts on reporting this company here and in china. Evil people.

Thank you so much for sharing that and replying. I had to give PayPal my tracking number by yesterday. But after a long argument on the phone with them, as suspected, they kept saying they cannot discuss other people's accounts (like that's what I was asking), so they wouldn't listen when I said many others have been refunded without requirement to return. Everyone's situation is different apparently, not with this company it isn't PayPal!!!

Anyway I demanded to speak to a manager to report the fact that they still have Wigshow/HALOWIGS as a client, dispite numerous reports about them. They deny deny deny.

They then hit me with telling me Royal Mail return is not really reliable enough and I would risk it not being tracked all the way to the door, therefore risk losing my refund. So they advised I use DPD or someone similar, at a cost of £57!!!

I argued and said I want to speak to a manager, as that means I would be spending what I have been refunded on returning it. Eventually, PayPal agreed to refund my delivery cost as a 'good will gesture'. Not sure what's good will about assisting these people in ripping off more and more people by still having them as a client.

So long story short, I am getting a refund and PayPal are refunding my delivery costs. THANK YOU SO MUCH for replying though, you have been a great help. I'm glad you got your money back too. Just wish this company could be stopped so it doesn't keep happening to people. Thanks again!!! :)

Here is my resolution number PP002424188953 hope it helps Did you find that Halowigs didn't respond to the dispute with PayPal themselves which is what happened with me and that is why they found in my favour. I had no end of nasty phonecalls and emails from China Glad to be rid of this horrible company Good luck

Please, if have a dispute reference number, or some other reference number that doesn't jeopardise your personal information, would you mind sharing it so I can use you as one of the many examples of people who received refunds from PayPal without the requirement to return it at their expense.

If I have proof then maybe PayPal will not require me to return this wig at my expense

Hello prospective wig buyers do not buy any wigs from this seller www.wigshow.co.uk

They are thieves there wigs look nothing like the pictures advertised. The AUD$210 the wig cost when it arrived 4 weeks later was the wrong colour nothing like the style and very little hair so no body to it either, wig cap showing, barely any fringe to it, it also looked like a dolly wig I’d put on one of my dolls as a kiddie. I’ve never ever seen a wig gives you a pointy head/triangle effect with sticky out loose hair bits coming out of the top of the crown???

Some advice you guys might not know but might greatly appreciate. I used the wigshow site in the UK, didn’t use paypal but my aussie credit card to purchase the “wig” or - thing that looked like a dog wouldn’t even go near. I contacted my bank a week after not getting any response from wigshow to request a refund (advised the Credit card section of the situation). My bank – commonwealth bank (great guys!, always super helpful), said they’d be very happy to assist and got all the forms out to me to process the refund. Before the customer assistant at the bank hopped off the line, he advised even though it was a credit card payment, the payment was still taken through paypal and I was to contact paypal first as they could very well help me. Which I did. 2weeks later I have a full refund from paypal themselves.

How to: You will be required by paypal to either email them or call them to raise a dispute about the product. I ended up having to call them (because I do not have a paypal account and it was done through guest systems or something, they paypal lady told me). You need to tell them that the product that was sent out was not what you ordered, you are not happy with it and you want a full refund, give them full details about all the problems with the wig.

They will advise you to contact the seller, which I did right away via email.

• Wigshow will give you the run around no end and tell you to stop the dispute with paypal that they will sort it out. DO NOT DO THIS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT.

• Wigshow will come back at you offering pitiful refunds which are laughable and tell you to sell the wig online yourself (LIKE ANYONE WOULD PAY $0.02c for this thing???), and whinge about how much money it takes for labour in china (yeah right) to produce a wig such as this etc etc. Don’t listen to any of it. Even if you have used their website to pay by credit card (as I did) and didn’t use the paypal option, you are still covered by paypal. And if paypal can’t help you, your bank will – contact them with all the details of this company and all the details that are now posted online about it and they will help you (as they advised me).

• Even if wigshow demand that you send the wig back first before they refund – DO NOT DO THIS EITHER, this is just a ploy for them to then say you never sent the wig (obviously got lost in transit), you don’t get a refund and they get their product back to sell to some other poor unsuspecting lass.

• Wigshow will then try to talk you out of sending back claiming postage fees to China etc are really high. As far as paypal terms go, customer has every right to keep a product and have a refund (if dodgy selling practices are used) and you won’t get in trouble for choosing not to pay high postage to China.

Once you have your refund, you can post the wig back (if you wish or most likely not).

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE just stick to your guns. Everytime you get a stupid email from Wigshow that will make your blood boil, be sweet/reasonable, and just keep repeating - the product that you sent me is not as is described on your website, I am not happy with your product and I wish a full refund.

• What will be going on at wigshow’s end, paypal will be demanding an answer from wigshow, wigshow will ignore paypal as they won’t have an answer for paypal. When paypal doesn’t get a sufficient answer they will automatically refund.

• If you haven’t heard anything from paypal in a week or so after you begin this, you need to escalate the dispute with paypal, call or email them. I’d suggest calling.

• And for those of you who have left it longer than the 45 days – as I see some of you have, you need to be speaking to your bank about this website as I think customers are allowed to claim back so long as its not longer than 3months.

Be Warned: Do Not Buy From This Company

I had waited over 3 weeks before I contacted the company to ask when I could expect delivery.

They responded with: "Thank you for your email.

Could you tell me the latest time that you need the wig? If you need any help,please free contact with us!"

My reply: Just be kind enough to let me know when you will despatch it. What is the hold up?

No further response.

I contacted the company two weeks later as no parcel had arrived and chatted to them. After confirming the order number and wig type I asked for a refund via PayPal if they were unable to complete the order. She then replied that my order had been shipped that very morning.

It did arrive 10 days later and I found an incomplete wig with half a fringe on pale pink netting. Frankly it was laughable.

I had only looked at two reviews on the web prior to my order and they were full of praise for wigshow.co.uk But I have looked since and found so many complaints and also a ruling against their advertising within the Advertising Standards Agency website.

Please do not fall victim to them.

hi i am in the same position and in a dispute with paypal , to my horror found out they have three companies webwin wigshow & halowigs and are a chinesr company trading in china but using the uk for trading. the wigs they sent me wouldnt even be good enough for a clown to wear? i ordered brown to black hair & got orange tatty hair? its a joke how these people are getting away this? but i have reported them to rte comsumer show in ireland, but i will not let them get away with this. rubybaz

Absolutely The Worst Company That I've Ever Used O

Absolutely the worst company that I've ever used on the internet, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! I wish I'd looked for reviews before ordering, the wig arrived and was dreadful, not a bit like the advertised one, inferior quality, inferior fitting, no style and no way to style it, there was no paperwork for returns so i tried to use their 'live chat' and no one answered so I emailed and have received excuse email after excuse email so I've pretty much given up on getting a refund. The company is definitely not in the UK so no comeback there either. I have bought other wigs from other wig companies, kept some and returned others with no quibble whatsoever so I say again DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
