My remortgage is straightforward and should have been completed today, but not the case unfortunately, thanks to Optima.
All required documents have been submitted more than a month ago.
Completion is not done, and there is no update to tell me "why".
No answers to phone call
No reply for emails from portal
There is no other way to communicate.
Such businesses don't have right to operate and should be closed by regulators.
My current mortgage term has ended, means it has now reverted to higher variable rate, which should not have happened at all should the completion was done in time by Optima.
DON'T use them, I would rather pay some other solicitors, but I didn't have that choice since they have been appointed by the lender.

Omg, I'm reading this and experiencing the worse anxiety of my life. I have been battling with them for 4 months. I am also going through a very straightforward remortgage. Unfortunately, it's been on hold for no obvious reasons. Equally, no one is giving an explanation to why the process has just frozen. My offer is expiring on 22 December. I'm just dreading that I will end up loosing the agreed rate!!!

We were forced to use Optima Legal for a YBS Remortgage - 4 months later only showing 50% progress on the Optima Dashboard.
Nurmerous email messages sent via the Comms Centre.
35 minute wait on the phone to talk to Customer Services to be advised "in review".
Terrible company.

100% agree..your review could have been written by me!. I contacted the lender yesterday for the second time. First time they extended my offer by a month to end Dec 22 as OL were behind on the process, and now thought best to let them know all issues lie with OL as we should have at least set a completion date last week. HOPELESS communication...certainly cannot get through to them on the phone and they don't respond to email on their terrible portal. Their management need to look at themselves and the lenders need to find new conveyancers!
