After speaking with a manager all get is a email telling me that it's gonna be a other 2 to 3 months been 4 already also because my injuries are still on goin after the medical date the doctors give thay are now wanting my medical records so thay are basically saying I am lieing totally shocking I would be embarrassed to work for this company so much for them taking the stress out thay cause most of it

I am in same situation, can we all make a press release of this company? It needs to be raised with parliament as soon as possible. We all can create a poll and identify others who have same issue so we can raise it up to the whole nation.

We had a accident in November 21. Aviva handed us over to Carpenters solicitors,they was quick to call us but after that things got worse. Hung up on us fobbed us off,lost paperwork absolutely disgusting. Still no luck to this day with them,still lied to on a daily basis when you can speak to someone. AVOID AT ALL COST. WORST SOLICITORS EVER

An incident occurred on evening of feb 3rd when a bus came into my lane and didn't stop. Forced me up on pavement and more. Reported to both bus company and my insurance that evening. Carpenters received report from my insurance on Feb 21st ...so clearly I had to take evasive action otherwise the bus would've smashed into me. Carpenters have known all along there was no **collision** due to me taking evasive action. Was diagnosed with whiplash, labyrinthinitis and ptsd.. had 5 sessions of physio (so far) and spoke to a medical doctor on WhatsApp on March 8 Every time I tried to speak to caseworker at Carpenters she was never ever available. Spoke to her manager last week who said he'd change caseworker/lawyer and he'd send me an email Tuesday just gone which didn't happen!! So I raised a complaint yesterday ...manager calls me today and said they're dropping it as there was no **collision** which they've known since receiving report from my insurance on 21st Feb Spoken to a few of my insurance advisors today who also think it's disgusting. Why take until today to tell me this!! Insurance advisor said today they're getting multitudes of complaints against Carpenters. He also said something very wrong here as, he said, there have been other customers when there was no actual collision (if I hadn't taken quick evasive action I could be dead) but they didn't drop the case Funny how I put in a complaint yesterday and he calls me today to say they're dropping it Absolutely disgusting!! Spent over an hour trying to get through to their complaints department. Absolute waste of time!! Disgusting company who shouldn't be operating!! They don't care about people!

I had a bad accident April 2020 and been a nightmare ever since .I had 4 claim manager only 1 even talk to me as a person and all contact is by e mail and pdf fill . How can someone deal with a accident when thay dont even no the person or anything about them it begs believe I never had a accident on 38years off driving and trying to get thow it like walking thow glue The claims manager I have now talk to him once I go wks hearing nothing then I get 8 e mails all at once and you got try pick your way thow them not even had a kind word from them thay have made this accident so much worse I thought so many times just walking away ,but am so I'll I dint no were to turn I cant even think straight the shock is so bad I made so many mistake in my life the last year ..I SAY TO ANYONE BEFORE YOU GER A SOLICTOR DO YOUR HKME WORK READ WHAT SPETS YOU CAN TAKE ASK RIGHT QUESTIONS DONT DO WHAT I DONE AND GET CARRY ALONG IN THE DARK END UP PLAYING WITH YOUR LIFE PLEASE PLEASE THJNK ABOUT YOURSELF ITS INPORTANT .I PUT NO STARS THERE SO BAD

I was passed from pillar to post. My last claim handler disappeared and nobody at Carpenters told me . I have had to change solicitors after 3 years. The mental anguish has been dreadful. I am so sorry for you. My claim is 100% no liability and they did nothing except try very hard to keep it out of court ..they do not want to claim against RSA .

I was recommended them by my insurance company when i had an accident which was not my fault. I would give rate them a big ZERO! It has taken nearly a year still no payout even tho the claim is settled. I had to call them on several occasions to know what is going on with my claim. No one gets back to you all they say is another member of their team is dealing with it. Terrible customer service if I had known before, would of used a different solicitor's. Please avoid because once they have all the info they need I think they take no time or effort to give you any updates. It seems as if I have to do all the chasing. It's been 9 months now still nothing. Would not recommend them to anyone.

Four different handlers. Wrong advice given . E mails left unanswered and advice that was given turned out to be blatantly wrong. I now have new solicitors who can't believe the mistakes that have been made. Carpenters are linked to RSA and it is obvious they do not want to take them to court even if there is no liability. My solicitor at that time just upped and left and nobody told me. I was mailing an empty inbox. I am actually speechless at how bad they are and people should be warned.

Absolutely shambles! The solicitor who is handling my case at carpenters is slow and unprofessional. I had a car accident on the 15th of august 2021 and I’m writing this review on 27th December 2021 and during that time I’ve only received one email. I haven’t even been provided with a number so that I can contact the person who is my case handler . Every time I try and contact the number on google, no one ever answers. I would not recommend carpenters solicitors to anyone as they are unresponsive and slow with there work. If I don’t get any response in the next few days I will take legal action.

I would definately not recommend to anyone even my worst enemy if I had one.The service started out well,then for some reason the person dealing with my claim was changed.From then on it has been frustratingly bad.I have only just received my claim after almost three years.I have a very thick folder with medical reports and records of unanswered phone calls and emails.Even trying to contact anyone with a higher authority has been as useless.

If there was a zero I'd be giving this. Totally disgraceful customer service! We may as well be handling the case ourselves. We find it so difficult to get through to anyone (the worst I've ever experienced) and when we do it just so happens the person dealing with the claim is never available. A message is always 'passed on' although we never recieve a call back. My 17 y/o son was granted his whiplash money early by the courts and was told 4 days. Carpenters have breached this as its now 6 weeks and still nothing. We phone as usual, and are told the usual! It would take me ages to state all the negatives on this review. Seriously. Avoid this company at all costs.

I very rarely write poor reviews but in this case I feel duty bound to warn people although sadly by the time this review is read it will probably be too late. Carpenters were assigned to me by my insurers after a serious collision while we were stationary and I was very badly hurt. From the outset weeks and months went by with very little action .We almost had to run the case ourselves. Carpenters are helpful until they have locked you in to their system and it is just that ..a system. I have had 4 different handlers and the last one has left the company in the middle of my case. No warning or e mail from either the solicitor or the company. We have fortunately found solicitors to take this case on but over two weeks on and Carpenters have failed to release my file . If you find yourself in the same position as me then please do change solicitors . It is everybody's right to do so.

We are in a similar position to you and are wanting to change solicitors. I cannot get any sort of reply from carpenters , can I just instruct another solicitor and they will request our files ? Do you know what will happen because we have had physio and doctors assessments arranged by carpenters ?

You can ask any solicitor to take you on but we were fortunate to have a good friend who helped us with a solicitor they knew. You instruct a solicitor and they will ask for your files . You will have to sign a transfer. Carpenters have to hand over your files . If you have consultations pending then new solicitors will take this on . You need to take advice first though as some costs will be involved and solicitors are very wary of taking on cases that have been lengthy already. If there is no liability that is easier. We got nowhere with Carpenters at all . If you have had your physio and assessments the reports will go to your new solicitors. Hope this helps.

Have had an ongoing claim for 27 months now and not sure we are anywhere near to settling. Have done most of the chasing myself regards medical reports etc. No one ever gets back to you. Onto 3rd solicitor who now asks questions already dealt with. Try to say you can't claim for certain things. Has caused me great mental health issues for which they have done nothing to help with - thank goodness for my own Dr, family and friends!!! No where to be able to complain to though and stuck with having to use them to settle.

I don’t have anything good to say for this company. They have been dealing with my case for over 2 and half years and never answer clients calls or emails. Me my sister and my mother have an accident case with them but they just send over the same letters for us to sign and send back but still we hear nothing from them. Everytime I call I don’t get a reply from johnathon fisher who is dealing with my case. They never answer and their customer service is crap..... you have to chase them because they like playing games

Completely useless! They were directed to me through my cars legal protection cover to sort out my injury claim Through multiple paperwork errors including a bungled statement of truth they provided the defence to missing paperwork or no correspondence with myself of the defence for months at a time I don’t think they know what they’re doing. Biggest mistake was not including hire car charges on the cnf to the defendant even though they were aware of this at the time. This has lead to that subsequent claim being struck out due to an abuse of process for trying to claim twice from defendant (hadn’t claimed twice for hire car I might add, now can’t even claim once for it) Can now see me having to pay hire car charges which should all have been claimed from third party who has admitted liability! Avoid like COVID 19... or the Plague!!

Dear reader, do not make the mistake I did and blithely accept your insurance company's recommendation of Carpenters to pursue your compensation. That was my downfall after I was shunted in traffic 3 and a half years ago. The other party immediately admitted full liability. It was all straightforward I thought. One no win-no fee solicitors is pretty much like another I thought. So as we head towards the fourth anniversary of the crash and still awaiting settlement for my injuries, I'm now a bit wiser. Carpenters are simply dire. Their biggest problem is communication. Emails to them are just ignored. You can wait months (literally) for a response from them to any email and even then, it'll be a childishly written and misspelled couple of lines which doesn't even pretend to address any issues you've raised. They're also not shy about giving out false information or anything that might make you go away and be quiet. I registered a formal complaint with them back in February this year. That was also just ignored. I have never, in all my years, dealt with a company as inept and useless as Carpenters. How I wish I'd never ever engaged them. If it's not too late for you, don't make the same mistakes I did.

We finally concluded the claim, with one final shock. I was told that I must "compromise" and accept a fraction of the wages I lost when I was off sick unpaid after the accident. If I wouldn't accept, I would have to pay Carpenter's £700+ to go to court and get my losses fully refunded. So not as much no-fee as they seemed.
Then they gave me a figure as a final settlement, which with no other option, I was forced to accept. Cheque would be received in 4-6 weeks they said. It took about 14 weeks of relentless chasing in the end. When it did finally arrive, it was £1000 less than Carpenter's had told me when seeking my acceptance. When I contacted them about this I was told that, oh, it had been an error and they'd accidentally given me the wrong figure. Sorry! Bye!
Carpenter's really are that bad.

It's been nearly 6 months since my work accident,in which the third party car severe damage and severe injuries through negligence. The third party has claimed responsibility through negligence,and these solicitor's seem to be dragging there feet I've seen no correspondence from the third party at all,for all I know the solicitor's might not be telling the full truth,I'm considering getting a outside party to investigate carpenters to see how reliable and truthful they are, I asked for a interum payment 2 weeks ago in which apparently "it's been authorised to transfer the payment but they dont seem to be bothered to chase it up.Its just not good enough

If I was you consider changing your solicitors now rather than later, because they will drag it out as our case took 4 years and we were totally shafted by this company, you can change solicitors unfortunately for us it had gone too far down the line so please do it they are useles.

Do not use this company. Staff are, including the manager, completely incompetent. My case handler failed to log very important information regarding my injury....therefore lost my case regarding my loss of earnings.Hard to get hold of on the phone. Never call or email when they say they will. There are 1000's of companies out there to choose. Do not choose this one. Bottom of the list. You have been warned.
