After speaking with the person I dealt with, I felt really at ease and he seemed very genuine so I decided to purchase the machine. He promised me 21 days to receive the machine as he has to place the order from the manufacturer. It took longer than expected, 33 days to be precise. After receiving the machine, it did not turn on and the screen seems very cheap and flimsy and not secured. He asked for the machine to be sent back for repair so I did, only to find out it took another 1 month for him to repair and return the machine. This made me realise that my business can also be on hold when the repair took this long. After receiving the repaired machine, I began to use it and apply for licensing with my Council, comparing to other machines I have used in the past, the results are not very good and in fact quite bad. I continued to use it for a few weeks and the handle broke down on me and it overheated and gushed out water. I contacted him asking for a refund and it took him 2 weeks to discuss with his Chinese manufacturer to finally give me a response to tell me that I may have deliberately damaged the machine. I was very disgusted by his response and to top it off, my council came back to advise that the CE certificate he had provided me is a fake and the laser safety goggles he provided is non-compliant and is dangerous to wear due to the fact that it does not have any tests or state any details of it’s effectiveness to protect my eyes. When I asked him to send me the CE certificate, he was very fishy about it, he does not want to supply it, simply because he was worried someone will copy it. Eventually he provided them to me but he blocked out the certification number. I mean really?! Companies copy his cheap fake certificate from Marshalls Cosmetic Machines? Luckily my council contacted the certification company directly and has emailed me to confirm that it is a fake. It is a lesson learnt and I would recommend people to go to a proper supplier and not this amateur. Reading some of his other reviews made me realise that my partner has more knowledge about this industry than the person I dealt with has. He refused to offer a refund or communicate with me and I am currently out of pocket. I am in talks with the trading standards. He is trying to blame this on the manufacturer in one of his emails but this is not my concern as I have bought from him and not from his Chinese supplier. I hope other people will not fall for this trap. What a nightmare.
