I too was drawn in by this company who appeared genuine and good value. It seems that at a time when people have little cash that some vultures will take advantage. Fortunately I only lost a deposit of around £100 but still feel like a mug. I fist thought that this company wasn't all that it seemed came when 1 - the salesman who saw me gave a different company name to the website I had visited and 2 - that the method of payment is essentialy cash only. Following this I searched the internet for the company given by the salesman (simply kitchens) and was horrified by the numerous warning messages posted on this and other similar forums.
If you have placed an order and 14 days haven't passed you can still cancel the order and save having to fork over the remaining money when you receive your faulty goods. This is how I went about cancelling my order:
1 - I phoned the salesman soon after reading the reviews stating my intention to cancel. He directed me to the customer service number and stated that he couldn't do anything.
2 - I filled in the cancellation slip attached to my quote and kitchen plan sheet. The address on this sheet was somewhere in Hull. I am assuming that this is a false address as after a bit of detective work found the true address to be in Oldham.
3 - I sent the cancellation slip with a letter outlining that I wished to cancel the order. I sent this recorded delivery (first class).
I did receive numerous calls following their receipt of the letter trying to confirm a date for delivery of the goods, each time I explained that they had received my cancelation request. Eventually the delivery day came (a day I had been fearing for weeks) and thankfully there was no sign of a mob of hoodlums trying to unload yet another dodgy batch of kitchen parts.
Don't be fooled by the smartly dressed polite salesmen and fancy website(s), and don't be tempted by the ridiculously low quote!
