We are dealing with work-tops.co.uk which seems to be part of Kitchen Worktops Plus - they have the same addresses listed. The product is great but we want to return an unused piece and change the size of the upstands. They are asking for a 50% handling charge. We said that is illegal on mail order goods and they said they are acting under Scottish law. Absolute nonsense, and the terms & conditions on their website guarantee a full refund on returns less transport charge, and that they operate under English law. Trying to get hold of the MD without success.

Thank you for your review, and thank you of course for your order. For the sake of perspective, I hope you don't mind me adding the rest of the story, in that the entire order was colour batch coded. Meaning that we could only exchange the entire order, which you were unable to facilitate as you had fitted the other pieces already?
One piece on its is cannot be used again as every batch shade is different. Essentially we would be writing the piece off and refunding you 50% of the price. We do sincerely regret that we were unable to assist you on this occasion. Solid Surface worktops is specialist and very different to the laminate worktops that we also sell. We do hope that this matter didn't overtly spoil your new kitchen experience.. Kind regards from the Work-Tops Team
