My elderly parents needed a new kitchen and were shopping around for deals. The sales consultant gave all kinds of different insurances about discounts and holidays offered by the company. Long end of the stick is that an agreement was made and the kitchen would be £10,000 as the kitchen would feature in their catalogue and as a result family holidays would be included because of the business generated from the pictures. Not only was the kitchen not finished, we had to pay a sperate installer to complete the work, dropped of the items needed and said we could find someone to fit them. Needless to say no photographs were taken, no catalogue and no holiday. The best bit of this is that as a result of this the £10,000 kitchen turned into a £23,000 kitchen through finance and they have no shame in this method of sales . £12,000 interest.
I was present when the sale representative rolled all this great things off his tongue. They processed the paperwork with no discounts and my parents in thier 70's have been left with 10years of finance to pay. 120 months of payments due!!
