I recently scratched the surface of my Maia kitchen worktop and found this Company that sells the care kit to repair it. The price of the kit was approx £35. I ordered it, but when I went to the checkout I saw there was a £60 delivery charge, making the purchase of this small item £95!! I emailed them asking if this was a typo (or a joke!), but received a reply saying that that was the charge and they were unable to alter it. Unable? UNABLE?!? Or unwilling? Can't imagine they're selling too many of these kits. The p&p should be in the region of £2-3.

I recently price up my kitchen online and with some DIY stores. Service and easyness and price varied a lot and as i went on I realised that some companies sold the same kitchens. I wanted a gloss white with a built in finger pull. I found Cooke and Lewis too expensive and plumped for a choice of Tesco, Wickes and Cut price kitchens who all sell the Lakes kitchens. Cut price kitchens were half the price of Tesco and much cheaper than Wickes especially as I had a local fitter who could fit the kitchen for me much cheaper. I paid a little extra to have the units delivered assembled but still save thousands of pounds. The service was excellent as I prefer uk based companies and didn't want a visit from a sales rep in the evening. I can't recommend them enough if you want a cheap high quality kitchen with soft close, worktops and appliances delivered in one delivery but they are happy just to deliver the kitchen units flat packed. Very impressive and extremely quick to deliver (less than a week for mine).
