The man in the shop was very helpful and accomodating. The fridge arrived on time and the delivery man helped me unpack it and lift it into the aperture. Very pleased with the service.

“Happy Customer Me!”

A breath of fresh air after being lead from Electrolux website to Debenhams and around the houses by Debenhams Plus - their online site. Debenhams Plus is actually Buyitdirect and they sent us an old model completely different from anything on the Electrolux website. Eventually got a refund less transport costs. Barras checked the design with Electrolux for us and arranged direct delivery within the week. (In contrast Debenhams and Electrolux both failed even to answer emails and messages about the product). Will be our first port of call for AEG / Electrolux in future!

“Aeg double oven”

I ordered an A.E.G double oven on line, the lowest price for that model that I could find anywhere, and was informed by mail the next day that the model I wanted was not in stock, and was not back in stock until the end of the month, but I was surprised when I was offered a better specification model which was quite a bit dearer for the same price as my preferred model.This was a great gesture by Barras but I decided to wait until mine was back in stock ( mine did have, I thought, some character compared to the fully automated option I was offered) so promptly replied with my decision and soon received their acceptance the next morning.To my surprise a week later I received a phone call stating that my order was replenished and was ready to be delivered, which it was 3 days later. An early morning call told me approximately what time slot it would arrive with the delivery people calling me 15 minutes before it was delivered and was carefully carried into my house. I give Barras great credit in their efforts to ensure an efficient customer service with great communication through-out. This was the first time that I had used this site and I will shop with them again for sure. This is also my first review on line as a way of giving them thanks for the great service I have received from them.Could not fault BARRAS. Mike - Liverpool.

“Delivery issues, but solved and offered extended warranty”

Ordered an AEG double oven from Barras.co.uk that I had to cancel elsewhere as it was not delivered for weeks. Asked over the phone when they could deliver it by - was promised the following Thursday. This was great as due to the delay, our new kitchen was ready for it. However, on Thursday, somebody from AEG called me and told me they can only deliver the following Tuesday. Wasn't happy as I had the joiner and electrician booked to finish the kitchen that week. I called them and explained it was not good finding out on the delivery date that I am not getting the oven. They apologized and said there was a mix-up with the supplier. They promised to do everything to deliver it 3 work days later on the Tuesday - and it was delivered. They called me to make sure and offered an extended 5 year warranty. Overall, not too bad experience, the communication could have been better, but they at least tried hard to fix the problem and offered an extended warranty as consolation. Overall I'd say that Barras seems to be a company that actually cares about its customers - that is rare these days.
