Total Rubbish, Beware.
Bought as part of package with new complete kitchen fro Betta Living, obviously sold by them as it is nothing but cheep rubbish, our washer is less than 7 months old and is completely destroyed by so called (coin damage) ?? We have had throughout our life at least 10 washers, and I have taken money , bra stays, and once a screwdriver out of the washer with no problems at all.
But with this model washer it caved in to a pound piece? Or that's what Baumatic would have you believe!
Please, please, take my word for it! Stay well away from baumatic, THAT IS THE BEST ADVICE I HAVE PROBEBLY EVER GIVEN ANYBODY.

Do Not Touch A Baumatic Machine!
Had this for just under two years. Dryer stopped working, leaves clothes sopping wet but hot. Had it repaired twice and was then told that was it, there was nothing else they could replace. Under guarantee I am entitled to a new machine but their so called Senior Engineer would not authorise a replacement as he said there's nothing wrong with it! How can this be when it doesn't dry clothes?!! Absolutely furious with their customer service as well. Seriously, DO NOT BUY A BAUMATIC! Don't be fooled by their guarantees as they don't stand by them.

I Have Bought This Machine And Withing A Month It
I have bought this machine and withing a month it broke down and refuses to properly drain after a wash- or dry cycle.
Coupled with this, the Baumatic "Platinum Service" couldn't schedule an engineer for 2 weeks! Judging by the other reviews I've read, I think the engineers are backed-up with appointments! I feel like the silly one for not doing my research - if you read this, please don't make the same mistake!
Would not recommend this product at all! If you have just bought one, exchange it!

Poor Build, Went Wrong Straight Away, Buttons Got
Poor build, went wrong straight away, buttons got stuck, door had a faulty catch. Most expensive saving I ever made! Finally a hole apeared through the drum in its second year of life and water dripped onto the motor. Worst machine I have ever owned

The Machine Was Less Than Six Months Old And It Fa
The machine was less than six months old and it failed - the spin would not drain. Contacted Baumatic who sent a contractor engineer - replaced the pump. To be fair it worked for two more years though the dryness of clothes after spinning was always poor and it has become increasingly noisy when spinning. 6 months ago we noticed water underneath - this has increased to a mini flood each time. I called the same engineer out ( he no longer works with Baumatic). He discovered that the drum had corroded and in his view it would be cheaper to scrap it and buy a new machine. Three and half years old! I contacted Baumatic to challenge this and they have offered to provide a new machine but only at a discounted price - about £100 off. When questioned about the longevity of the machine - or rather, the lack of it, the response was that yes the expectation is that a machine should last for years but sometimes they fail! And Baumatic will accept responsibility only to the extent of the guarantee period! Not a particularly good endorsement by the company for its own products or for customer relations.
This machine has now been superceded but there are still examples around for sale. The advice is - don't!

This Tumble Dryer Was Recommended By An Independen
This tumble dryer was recommended by an independent service engineer (shop sales promotion?) as a replacement to a faithful old Hotpoint washer drier (more cost effective to replace existing machine). The Baumatic BDW12 almost made 10 months without fault (wash programme sticking and not draining). The independent shop (supplier) is not interested, as the machine still under manufacturers warranty. The manufacturer was contacted, and the earliest visit was in 10 weeks. An engineer (outsourced by Baumatic) attended, and he expected the machine to be removed from within the kitchen fitted units. New programmer supplied as faulty, and the engineer left. New programmer to be mailed from manufacturer. Engineer (outsourced) attended 4 weeks later to fit new programmer. Same fault present - reported to manufacturer the following day. Fault not resolved, and further parts required - being Main Motor, Timer, Water Pump and Printed Circuit Board. Engineer (outsourced) attended 3 weeks later. Machine left in working order. Response time from reported fault to rectification 17 weeks.
Machine almost made second year, machine not draining again, spin erratic and drier not working (no heat adjustment). Engineer (as previously outsourced by Baumatic) contacted directly, only to be informed the company no longer carries out any works for Baumatic. Manufacturer contacted to arrange for a service visit - informed they only have "a" Service Engineer. Earliest available appointment 3 weeks.

I Wonder How Long My Baumatic Bwd12 Tumble Dryer W
I wonder how long my Baumatic BWD12 tumble dryer will last? It is only 2 weeks old and already needs a good smack to get it to start. The buttons get stuck in. It has got more programs than you could possibly ever want, but probably not the one you want. The manual is useless.
The dryer is joke. Get a good airier - you'll need it. Don't be fooled by class A energy efficiency! Appliance energy efficiency ratings on such things are a joke, trust me I am an engineer. Efficiency is 'what you get' divided by 'what you pay for'. However, the 'what you get' part is subjective. Baumatic probably measure the electricity you pay for needed to remove a given amount of water from the contents of the dryer. What they don't measure is the time taken to do so. Generally with a dryer 'what you want' is dry clothes with some sort of urgency, in which case their machine achieves a big fat 0 on this scale since nothing ever dries. I think that the Baumatic's principal is that if you leave it in the machine for long enough it will eventually dry, especially if the machine makes a few whirring sounds, hey presto, a week later dry(ish) clothes, and not much electricity used.
So go on hang it out to dry, it'll be quicker and a whole lot more energy efficient!!

I Had My Baumatic Tumble Dryer Fitted As Part Of A
I had my Baumatic Tumble Dryer fitted as part of a new kitchen less than 3 years ago. The kitchen people said this was a really good make, and stupidly I took their word for it.
On the first use I had to call the engineer out because it was smoking!! I must have had him out 10 times each year - noise , vibration, 2 new pumps, etc etc. The list goes on and on. This machine vibrates so much that the only thing holding my microwave on the unit was the plug in the socket on the wall!!
In January the final straw came. I spent most of the day waiting for the engineer to call and he put in the part that I had been waiting for since before Christmas, and then the next day the motor went. I called the service department and politely quoted' Unfit for purpose' as I had been told, and I requested another machine. Without too much of a fight it was agreed. I then had to wait until February for a team to be able to fit it, and now the new machine has been in exactly 1 month and the motor has gone. I am without the machine, and the engineer is calling tomorrow. Should anything go wrong after that I am going to be demanding my money back.
I am not willing to go through another 3 years of waiting for the engineer to fix this load of junk!!
This has been the worst machine I have ever had!!

I Bought This Washer/dryer From Www.appliance.co.u
I bought this Washer/Dryer from www.appliance.co.uk less than two months ago. I made a mistake - I confused the brand with Bauknecht in Germany so I guess it's my fault. However, for a new washer dryer, the noise level is very high. The machine jumps to and fro during spinning cycle. The drying facility leaves clothes creased and very stiff - even at the low temperature. And to top it all off, the machine is now broken. Water squirts out of the back at the start of the cycle. I will never get a Baumatic appliance again - I am looking to get rid of it to buy a reliable brand like Bosch or Neff. It's worth paying the £200 - £300 Pounds more.
