I'm So Glad And Wished I've Read Reviews Before I Bought.

Thank You so much for posting the reviews. I had this dishwasher for 7 years only because we are a small family and used it maybe if we were lucky 2x's a month and extra only Thanksgiving and Christmas. We do NOT have a lot of time on this dishwasher. The motor just upped and kicked on us. E1 is what it says, So I've decided that because of reading your comments and reviews I will not call a service repairman. I will just go and purchase a different brand. 800.00 just dumped away. I finally have to replace my washer and dryer after 15 years. They still work, but missing a couple of cycles. I can guarantee they also will not be a LG. Thank You everyone for helping me figure it out.....I wish I would known then what I know now...... Run don't walk, Not impressed!

What a waste of my money. 5 repair calls, three pumps and it still breaks down with a 1E code. Even had a top man from the factory come out with the repair man...they replaced the pump mechanism again, the machine works for a couple of months, then breaks down again. Will never buy a LG product again.

I've Owned My Lg Dishwasher For 4 Years And For Mo

I've owned my LG dishwasher for 4 years and for most of that time, it has had problems draining water. Several times during a cycle, the unit will stop with an OE status, meaning that the unit is having trouble pumping water out. It has reached the point that I have to bail water by hand multiple times to complete a cycle. I owned a GE unit for over 10 years, and never had headaches like this. The unit has been serviced 4 times, and the problem always returns. It has reached the point that the unit doesn't pump any water out. Without question, this is the WORST appliance that I've ever owned, and I will NEVER purchase another LG appliance as long as I live.

Seems I had the same issue as most others. Just quit drying the dishes. Plus if you pull the bottom rack out too quicdly, it falls off onto the floor. How ridiculous. Just a poor design. Will have to pay about $200 to get this drying issue fixed. I am having the same issues with the LG dryer. No more with LG. I am done. Products do not live up to the money you pay to purchase them.

Bought What We Thought Was The Top Of The Line Dis

Bought what we thought was the top of the line dishwasher. In order to meet energy star requirements, LG took out the water heater from the unit. The only way we can get the unit to work is to leave the hot tap water running continuosly throughout the 2 hour cycle. Otherwise the water is not hot enough to dissolve the soap. We called LG and they sent out a repair technition who told us we needed to purchase a small under sink water heater in order to get the machine to work. So much for energy savings. We called LG again to complain and they said "Too bad. You got what you get." We had to reinstall our old mismatched dishwasher in order to get clean dishes. We will never buy an LG product again.

Purchased Lg Dishwasher Lds5811bb In 6/2008. I Tho

Purchased LG dishwasher LDS5811BB in 6/2008. I thought spending $600 on a dishwasher would give us a piece of mind as we felt it was a higher quality machine. The first 1.5 years it worked great. The last 2-3 months had problems: when cycle's over, a good amount of clumped-up powder detergent remains in the detergent cup, even after a 2nd rinse cycle. Also, there is powder residue mixed with ground food particles left all over the glasses . Bassically the dishes/glasses come out dirtier than before starting the cycle. We cleaned the jets by the manual, but it seems as the pressure of the water from the jets is not enough (water pump problem?). Also the whole appartment smells like the detergent (we never had that problem before and have always used the same detergent). Called about the warranty service (parts 2 yrs & labor 1 yr), but we were told that the parts are only covered by the warranty when ordered by an authorized LG rep, and the LG rep is going to charge for the diagnosis. We understand that labor is not included, and we're willing to do the work ourselves (which still is disappointing after spending $600 on it only 1.5years ago), but charging for a diagnosis in order to get the parts covered seems to not only defeat the purpose of covering the parts, but very unfair and very mislesding waranty terms (this was not mentioned in the warranty terms). The rep was not helpful at all. Now we are stuck with a dishwasher that we can't use only after 1.5 years. I would not recommend it to anyone. It is better to spend a little more money and get a Miele or spend half and get a Whirlpool or sth. I am never buying anything LG anymore...their products are not good enough for the prices they charge and threir customer serviceis terrible. It is a complete waste of money and time and causes a lot of aggravation.
