We Bought The Hitachi Cv-90cy Vacuum Cleaner From
We bought the Hitachi CV-90CY vacuum cleaner from Argos (I notice they don't seem to stock it anymore), and it's the most useless lump of plastic I've ever had the misfortune to own. It's absolute rubbish!
It doesn't pick up fluff, hair, dust or anything you try and vacuum up. The filters bung up really quickly and take ages to clean, and it has absolutely no suction what-so-ever. You can run it over the same bit of carpet for 10 minutes and it will still look exactly the same. I clean my stair carpet with a bit of sticky tape now, as I can't be bothered lugging the stump lump of rubbish up and down, for it to do absolutely nothing!
As you can tell, I'm not very impressed. If you're thinking about buying this vacuum - don't - you will totally regret it.

We Bought A Hitachi Cv-90cy Vacuum Cleaner Based O
We bought a Hitachi CV-90CY vacuum cleaner based on price and specification, and because we didn't want a Dyson. We have regreted the descision ever since.
The main problem is it clogs up as soon as it encounters dust, not particularly helpful in a device used for removing dust is it!!! There are 5 or so filters, all fiddley to remove, and take around 30 mins to clean, and in doing so cover you and your surroundings in the dust you have just removed. We are having to do this nearly every time we use it too, otherwise it has zero suction.
Also:
Doesn't work on laminate/wood floors
Doesn't pick up animal hair from carpet
Doesn't pick up small particles like grit/stones, like cat litter (neither of which is helpful when you have cats!)
What it does pick up it spits back out again most of the time, but usually somewhere else that's clean.
The attachements are poor and flimsy, and the items picked up tend to stay in the hose, rather than in the dust chamber
It's heavy and cumbersome to use, and prety unergonomic.
Generally it's a very poor item.
