Alanya, Hotel Blue Sky

Although for some people, you know the fussy sort who would say, 'I've stayed in better 4 star hotels' my partner and I found this hotel very nice, yes it was slightly older than expected, however, well maintained, clean and efficient. A large reception area meets you with a spacious seating area, air conditioning and a drinks machine. The reception staff are very polite, helpful, fluent in several languages and constantly available.

Whilst many would moan about not being in the main complex, we were quite happy to be in the adjasent building to the main Hotel, with a 1 minute walk to the main hotel, it gave us time to access the weather and plan our day while making our way to the 7th floor rooftop restaurant.

The restaurant provided spectacular views of the Fortress, ocean and township of Alanya, the food was plentiful, fresh and very well presented. I felt the range of food was sufficient to meet the need of the varied cultures and countries represented during our stay.

The rooms were well adequit and cleaned daily. The bar/waiting staff were always polite friendly and helpful which made our stay at Blue Sky, very pleasant. We would definately visit again, although for me personally, the weather was too hot, but my partner loved it. My two negatives would be the TV only had 1 english speaking channel (no big deal really) and you had to vacate your room by 12.30pm, although this maybe later than a lot of hotels, when you are not leaving the hotel until the evening and you arrived late in the evening, you should (in my opinion) be allowed to use your room until upto 1 hour prior to departure. All in all, a lovely holiday.
