“Dirty dirty dirty”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Cavla on 21/07/2014

This is THE worst hotel we have ever been to. 3 stars? We give them one. We don't understand why people say that this hotel is clean and wonderful... (are they blind or they just don't want to know?!). The rooms are NOT clean, the whole hotel is dirty and completely neglected. Nobody really cleans it and nobody seems to care. Everything you touch, everything you look at, it's totally filthy. We complained. When the manager smiled and said that those things are »just little things« (really?!?!), we knew he's not up to his job. When he refused to go upstairs to see what we are talking about, he said he believes us. So he knows the problem, but he rather pretends there is no problem and does nothing. The hotel and the rooms are simply neglected, as I said at the beginning. Old dust, old filth, glued remains of food on wardrobe's door, dirty, smelly carpets, dirty, smelly bedspread with stains, stains on too soft and old mattresses, torn pillow case, dirty lights, not working lights, badly screwed toiled seat, dirty hair dryer, dilapidated ceiling and wardrobes, not working and pulled out vent with clogged filter, everything you touch –shells, door knobs, key, TV, remote... - everything is dirty and sticky. Our room sucked big time. We made a reservation for the premium room with balcony and sea view. From our room you could see trees and another hotel that is literally falling apart. It's actually dangerous around there. Only when you went to the balcony you could see a part of the hotel's pool and some sea. We could enjoy on the balcony, if the balcony would be clean. It was dirty as hell. They didn't even bothered to sweep some clipped fingernails from a guest before us of the floor. The balcony fence was pooped. When you stand at the fence you get water from the pipe below which is installed in upstairs balcony. There is an old and never cleaned and removed paint all over the hotel: on the stairs, on the radiators, on the fences, lights... Restaurant: food is not very diverse, but it's tasty (except the artificial juices). It only should be warmer. The problem in restaurant is – go figure – uncleanliness. We got dirty: plates, cups, cutlery and glasses. The missing food don't replace. And there is no real show cooking, so don't fall for that. Fitness room: yeah, who cares about it, right? Maybe so, but even for those who would use it... it's totally disgusting. In that room filth was not even good enough for us. The guests are rewarded also with garbage and crushed food on the floor. We saw that on Friday, told the manager on Saturday, that room was still untouched on Sunday. It was probably there a long time before we came and we are sure it's still there. The beach is near by. It's not regulated. Nobody removes the sea grass. I've never seen so much grass at one place. The result – a stinky foam. I congrats the guests that have the guts to go into for a swim. Oh, and the welcome at the worn out hotel was: »Good day. Give me the credit card.« The receptionist even tried to charge us for a whole three days up front, if we wanted to pay with cash or maestro. What is wrong with this people?! Dear guests, if you don't tell the truth, you don't help anybody. And the truth is that this hotel is not nice and don't deserve three stars and it's absolutely too expensive for what they offer. If you don't tell the truth, if you don't say to them or to the other people what they are doing wrong, nobody will start to do it better. If you lie that nothing is wrong, they don't react, they just take your money and laugh at you. However, if people don't see the filth, I wonder what kind of criteria of cleanliness they have for their homes. As we need to give all the criticism to the manager of this hotel, we absolutely have to pay the compliment to the receptionist, Mr. E. This nice man should be the manager. He is the only one there who seems to care and knows how to work with people and he understands how things should be done. Thank you, Sir, you are the light at the end of the tunnel.
