“Modern Resort Hotel in Mable Street Gerald to”

Written on: 01/01/2014

My husband and I stayed at the Broadwater Marina Hotel in Geraldton for two nights 27th -29th December 2013. We got lost because the address given by Booking.com is that the resort is on Chapman Road which is incorrect. The resort is actually located on Mable Street behind The Latitude Restaurant. The sign outside on Chapman Road is completely misleading and reads 'Resort hotel'! It should atleast have Broadwater on it! We called up the Broadwater and explained we were lost and Fiona on reception gave us more info infact very helpful and telling us the resort was situated behind the Latitude Restaurant was a big help. Our room studio apartment was very large and new with all the comforts of 5 star resort. The bed was very comfy although pillows were like rocks. Kitchen and bathroom amenities were very new and luxurious. Lovely to sit on private balcony overlook pool and relax. Pool area great and plenty of sun loungers. Outdoor jacuzzi very nice but the deep step on entry needs your full attention if you have short legs. Plenty of BBQ areas near the pool. There are a few minor issues which need mentioning. The kitchenette is lovely, new and shiny but the lack of a draining board is an oversight on the designers part.. One plate slipped off the bench and smashed! The disabled room we had was large but the bathroom although big enough for a wheelchair had an issue with the shower curtain and drainage was poor and if anyone needed the toilet after you had showered then you would be wading through water. This is a fantastic resort but nowhere near a marina more like near Champion Bay. The resort is situated in Mable Street. Beautiful, peaceful stay and very hard to leave. We would defintely stay again but not in a disabled room.
