I bought a voucher through Groupon for an online course but the voucher code is not working, and the company doesnt respond on my email. according to Groupon i should contact the company. The sale of the vouchers seems a sham. It's an empty shell.

BEWARE: I bought an Online Academies voucher through Groupon, and Online Academies refused to recognise it, despite it being clearly valid. I e-mailed Online Academies three times, including a pdf of my voucher and they did not even have the courtesy to reply. Groupon offered my Groupon vouchers in exchange ... and eventually, when I really pressed, a refund. What a waste of time all that was. I will not be going back to Online Academies.

absolutely disgusted with this company. I had started a course and was through the first couple of modules when I returned to my account to continue, my course had disappeared. Contacted the company several times and received no response! A complete waste of time! Very disappointing.

I emailed ONLINE ACADEMIES on three different occasions with some pretty important issues... THEY DO NOT RESPOND AT ALL... THE E-MAILS WERE SPREAD OVER 5 WEEKS SO NO 5-WORKING DAYS RESPONSE HERE... We purchased a course via Groupon and the voucher code did not work. We have emailed online academy twice, they have not responded. We eventually got a phone number from them, when you ring it you get a message stating the number does not exist, just how dodgy is that. To summarise, if you successfully sign up, I am sure all is ok, if you have issues, they are one of the worst organisations I have ever dealt with. Time to get my money back and never going anywhere near online acadamies again

Fashion Design and Dressmaking My course material was FOURTEEN YEARS OUT OF DATE. The terminology is un-politically correct. For example; working in a fashion workroom where people smoke and how to use a telephone directory. I also noticed an example of a covering letter in unit 11 which was dated ‘2004’. The tests are also poorly structured, trying to inconsistently catch the student out with word-for-word semantics instead of testing the actual knowledge gained from reading the unit. I don’t believe this course was even worth the huge discount I bought it at; you owe your customers much, much more. Fashion and dressmaking is an ever-changing modern craft and regardless of the subject, you shouldn’t be selling irrelevant modules that are FOURTEEN YEARS OUT OF DATE. Because of these many factors, I have concluded that this online course is entirely useless for anyone seriously seeking the knowledge of dressmaking. It has been a waste of my money, time and energy; the latter of which I will never get back. Please review your quality control procedure, or create one.

They want your money and after that, support is minimum as possible. I’ve sent 9 emails in 6 momths and no answer ! The email is always the same with the same question and no answer. Rubbish. Avoid if you can!

Purchased from Groupon. Voucher did not work. They hide their contact details apart from a email form. No contact from them at all. No real information about who and where they are like a normal educational institute. Do not purchase from them. Groupon were very quick to refund. From reviews on line seems very fishy to me!

This course was poor quality, Pilates needs have a practical element to it, get the exercises wrong and you are doing someone an injury, the quality of the description of the exercise is not only insufficient but inaccurate too, the model demonstrating is also inaccurate and contradicts the written description of the exercises. I complete this course within two hours with all passes and didn't even read the 8 out of the 10 lessons it came with. Sorry not good enough if you want to teach pilates you will need to spend the money on ofqual register training.

I am so surprised when I read so many reviews talking about getting their certificate....I ve finished the course anti aging which was so educative and .....I did the last test which is number 10 n was given my score as my certificate in soft copy. I have sent so many emails n yet no response.....Pls can someone explain to me.....this is ridiculous......

It is not ethical to sell a counselling for children course in this way. Counselling is a complex and difficult thing to provide. You work with very vulnerable people and you can do more harm than good if you 'dabble' without the correct training and supervision. It is not something you can learn to do safely and effectively without direct ongoing observation of your work whilst you learn. An online course can only ever give you the theory but you need to have supervision to put this into practice safely and effectively. To imply that you could work as a counsellor and earn £61000 a year after doing this course is a misrepresentation at best. Awful ethics behind this regardless of the standard of content. As a qualified professional I have no need for this online course but would deter anyone from purchasing it unless they simply want knowledge of the area and are willing to then do further accredited training should they wish to actually work as a counsellor.

I purchased Dog Walking / Pet Sitting Diploma which I completed whilst in hospital, it stated via Groupon that for a small charge I can request a certificate. I have sent 5 emails regarding a certificate and no response, I have also sent 2 further emails regarding questions I got wrong and asked for assistance and again nothing. The course itself pretty good, the help and support is none existent very disappointing Value for money via Groupon however now I know the lack of support may not use again

As a professional counsellor (BACP) and as I'm currently working with adults and children with addiction issues, I thought I would check out the Drug, Solvent & Alcohol Abuse Counselling Course, I'm horrified someone believes this is an acceptable educational resource and instead I would like to promote public health England courses in these subjects at £25 offered at most councils or teaching hospitals to the public. This course was biased, not upto date, poorly created and accredited by an unknown body. Please don't waste your funds or time.

Signed up for a course and the code was rejected by the merchants website. They say to email the voucher if the code doesn't work, which I did and my email was ignored. They have a telephone number available on Google between the hours of 9am-5pm. I called at 9:20am and it simply gives a message of 'We cant take your call.Please call back another time when we hope we can'. I'm not sure if this company need reporting to the police as I think I have had my money taken and reading the comments, I don't think I am the first person.
