Two bicycles were stolen from my garage, Bank of Scotland home insurance refused to pay out because the bikes weren't named on the policy - they weren't mine, I was just storing them temporarily for my brother who was in the process of moving house.

You only find out how good an insurer is when you need to claim - Bank of Scotland policies are worthless!

I have had contents cover for 12+ years and never made a claim and feel that it was turned down for the most spurious reasons..

I will be doing a little research on insurance company reviews before I buy my next policy and encourage you to do the same... Am very disappointed with Bank of Scotland.
