Disgraceful Company And Service

I beg anyone reading this to NOT purchase from this company. They have zero integrity as far as I can tell.

I 'purchased' tiles on the 3rd August 2015, called for updates throughout the next week, emails were not replied to and the person I dealt with at Tile-range was increasingly inventive with her stories about where the pallet was, clearly having no idea. She also began to become rude and aggressive on the phone, clearly a diversion tactic.

I took two separate days off work to wait in as I was told the tiles would arrive, no tiles arrived.

21 days of chasing via phone and email being fobbed off about where the pallet was I eventually coaxed out of someone at tile-range who the transport company was and so chased that company directly.

I arranged with that transport company times for delivery and having received a pallet that was heavily damaged on the 24th August, it was immediately rejected and a refund requested.

No apology, no customer service and no refund. I did ALL the calling and never received promised calls back. We are now 39 days later and having chased my refund, I still have no money back. Apparently all refunds are dealt with by the director.

I am now in the process of tracking down the director to personally request my refund.

I have taken advice and started court proceedings against this company as they have not complied with the Sale of Goods Act and I will take this matter to its natural conclusion

Again, anyone reading this review please please do NOT order from this company - I just wish I had seen this site prior to order.

You have my sympathies, as I have experienced most of the issues you have detailed above. My review is just below yours.

I am owed a refund of £87 for some excess bags of grout I returned several months ago. I have been told by a sales assistant at Tile Store, Manchester, one of their normal tile shops in Wythenshaw, under the same ownership, that the online business is winding down. This is presumably, because they are so useless! So I don't think they are at all bothered about any action that might be taken against them.

I have spoken to Citizens Advice, who noted the details and said that Trading Standards might pick it up, but I don't hold out much hope of that. Any legal action is going to cost, with no guarantee of being able to enforce any judgement, let alone a refund. In my view the managing director whose first name is Ashley, and the finance director ( who only appears on a Friday ) are both guilty of illegally witholding money which they owe me, and yourself and others of course. The managing director is based at their warehouse, but has consistently ignored my requestes for contact, even via the shop ( who were very helpful ). I have pretty much given up hope of getting my money back now.

It is a pity I live so far away from Manchester, otherwise I would have made a personal visit long ago ( accompanied by a few "heavies" if necessary! )

I wish you well with your legal endeavours against this pathetic excuse for a company.

They are just not interested, because I recently learned from a salesperson at Tile Store, Manchester, who are the normal shop outlet for essentially the same company, that the online store is winding down, presumably because they are so useless. I have to say that the Wythenshaw shop was very helpful in sending a couple of extra matching tiles, which Tile-Range couldn't even manage, and they were cheaper. Its a pity I live so far away from Manchester, otherwise I would be paying Tile-Range a personal visit.

As it is, there is little I can do to recover the sum, as any legal action will add further cost with no guarantee of recovering any of it, or enforcing any judgement. Essentially, I am accusing the managing director and/or finance director of illegally witholding money which belongs to me. Hope you have success with your proceedings.

Must Have Ceased Trading

I heartily agree with all the other negative review comments. I have experienced all the previous problems so won't go into specifics, except to say that I too am awaiting a refund and a couple of additional tiles. They have not been answering their phone since Friday and possibly before, so my belief is that they have "gone down the pan", which frankly is exctly where they belong. Unfortunately, they will have taken my money and that of many others with them. A case for "Watchdog" perhaps?

Awful!, Please Don't Use! Dishonest !

Tiles never arrived despite being lied to many times "they have left us and are with the delivery company" etc.

Dismissive when you tried to get a delivery date, rude and aggressive when asked for a refund....which was never processed!

Never return calls nor emails.

To be honest couldn't have been any worse....

Company also reports all reviews left online in order to remove them from sight......

Avoid At All Costs!

To cut a long story short - I ordered some tiles, they never arrived. I ordered a refund, that, too, hasn't arrived. All the while I had to make all the effort by calling them (never the other way round). The staff were at best unhelpful and apathetic, at worst rude and deliberately misleading/untruthful.

Without going into more detail, I'll conclude by saying that this company is comfortably the worst I've had the misfortune of dealing with, and judging by other online reviews on a different website, I'm not alone in this regard. However, you may currently have difficulty finding these reviews, as currently tile-range are undertaking a program of censorship by reporting the genuine, negative reviews.

The relevant authorities have been informed, as have multiple online consumer rights websites and a very well known consumer rights TV programme.

Don't give them a penny of your money, you won't see it again.

Appalling

Nearly a month on delivery of the wrong tiles and wrong amount. They couldn't care less about this and am still awaiting for a refund which I fully expect to have further issues with as it is what I have come to expect. Pay a bit more and actually receive a service I suggest.

Useless Company!

Ordered tiles over five weeks ago and still no tiles and no refund. Staff are useless and do not return calls or emails. The manager is a joke and should be dismissed by the owners.Now progressing claim against this shambles of a company
