2nd Karcher In 10 Years With Regret.

My very first pressure washer was a Karcher, very solid construction and it lasted 10 years. My second Karcher - rubbish plasticky construction - lasted just 3 uses in 1 year before the commonly reported "pulsing and leaking" fault occured. I care for all my garden equipment , cleaning and drying after every use, storing in warm enough places in winter etc and if I do not know how to care for electrical equipment then no one does and no one will have a chance of running one of these Karcher machines any longer than I did .

Karcher must realise that they are selling these poor quality machines on the reputation of their earlier models, I hope that the word gets around that if you choose Karcher you are wasting good money, choose another make! ANY BUT KARCHER!!!!!!!

Absolute Rubbish!

Have now had 3 karcher washer machines. Each one has never giving good service - am really fed with them, but just don't know what the alternative is!!

Am a domestic user and only use it once per year to clean my drive. Yet again, was only able to clean half my drive and it packed up. Took it to the local dealer who repaired it.....brought it back and yet another problem...took it back again. All too expensive repairs and left with the problem "is it economical to repair again"! the labour charges are outrageous and am left feeling let down with totally unreliable machines.

Where do we go from here? HELP

Leaking In Two Months

I am realy disappointed in what so called Karcher pressure washers, i have bought mine from our local dealer here in Bahrain.

i have used the mechine for only three times in two months i got a drop in the pressure and immediatly started to leak badly from the bottom.

i took it to our local dealer and guess what he told me.... you are over using the mechine and therefore the the motor has gone????????!!!!!!!!!!

i have asked him to explaine what the over using means and his surprising answer was "used it for 10 minutes and let it rest for 10 minutes"

i will never buy a Karcher product again

Sigh, Another Totally Disappointing Experience Wit

Sigh, another totally disappointing experience with the German product. I gather it must be the UK importer fault...I can't believe it...No once it has lasted more than 6 months!

I Bought The Karcher (k3.86 M) Pressure Washer Fro

I bought the Karcher (K3.86 M) pressure washer from Halfords approx 2 years back. Recently water poured out the bottom of the unit. After reading that other had similar problems I inspected the unit to see what had failed. There is a mechanical clip designed to hold on the "connection" part (This is what you plug the outlet pressure hose to). Anyhow this mechanical clip slots into little groves on what Karchers parts list calls the "housing". There are two sets of groves top and bottom on the housing seemingly allowing the "connection" to be fitted in two orientations. However as the "connection" must protrude from the front only one set of these groves can be used by the clip. On closer inspection the groves are not equal depth and it is reasonable to assume then that only the deeper groves were designed to withstand the pressure the unit generates when in use. However as the "connection" can only be fitted in one orientation the clip can only interface with the shallow groves. My unit failed because the clip sheared through the shallow groves and forced the "connection" off. IMHO these parts were designed for a different outer casing where the "connection" protruded at right angle allowing the clip to interface with the deeper groves. It is hard to believe that a company manufacturing this type of device could make such an error and not understand the cause. Given the number of customers that have written about this problem Karcher seems to have no sense of responsibility to their customers at all. I will not purchase a product from a company with this type of attitude.

I Bought A Refurbish Karcher K4.130 From The Krach

I bought a refurbish Karcher K4.130 from the Kracher refubisment outlet. It seemed like a good idea but, when it arrived it was quite worn on the wheels and the bottom had the serial label hanging off. When i connected the hose water poured out from inside the machine. Clearly untested, clearly well used and not what is promised on the website. I hope I will get my full refund Inc saturday postage in the next few days. No explination or apology. 2nd Kracher that has failed. I am going to try a diffrent brand maybe Wolf. Very diaspointed with Kracher and the Outlet store.
