Abysmal Customer Service

I have had Upc broadband for over a year. In that time I have had six visits regarding broadband dropping out. Today was the last straw engineer visited and for the second time said the system needed to be monitored for a week this was done before they changed the router in June still problems. I contacted customer support today to cancelI was told €200 fee would apply. I cancelled my direct debit.No way will I pay.

Terrible Customer Service

UPC has disappointing customer service and even when TV / internet doesn't work at all, UPC representative offers technicians to come not earlier than in 2 days. This is unacceptable especially for someone working from home. They don't show any good will and dont send anyone earlier. I am gonna change my television provider soon. Unfortunately I don't have any choice and I have to stay with them with my internet connection.

Yep, I agree, but I wouldn't even give them one star for customer service. With three phone calls just to start things up at my place, all I got was two push-overs and one rude one who talked over me in the most discourteous manner - to the point that I had to hang up. This would require more than an apology if it had been a proper service, because email apologies are easy to give. They can ust use a template.

Very Disappointed. Moved From My Old Address For O

Very disappointed. Moved from my old address for over a year now, sended cancelation letter when was moving , and all the equipment was picked up by UPC month after . However I was still charger 45euro every month for nothing ! When I called customer service, sever times I was passed through different departments till someone would eventually hang up on me and then I would have to start all over again! When I finally reached cancelation department they refused to refund me money because apparently they have no record of any equipment beeing picked up ... Whose fault it is?

Unfortunate Upc Customer, Not For Much Longer

The customer interface is deplorable. The channels skip, the new remote bought recently costing €25 does not work properly, can not press number of channel you would like as it never accepts instruction, guide is slow and keeps fading from screen. On demand menu is sluggish and most of the time unworkable. This is the last night I going to spend moaning about UPC, have always supported it as I assumed it was an Irish company? Moving moving moving my son can celebrate at long last.

Don't Believe The Hype

The old upc service was great then came along the extraordinary horizon tv, I was one of the ones who was fooled at the end of my contract into staying with them when I should have moved to sky, my new horizon box turned my simple tv into a smart tv until the internet wouldn't work, I rang ups who said I should buy a router that maybe this would fix it, eventually they agree to send out a technician who came after 4 days put in a new broadband box which couldnt be connected to the horizon box so back to basic tv and 20mbs broadband but paying for 100mbs, upc again sent technician promising it b fixd after another 4 day's technician couldn't fix it rang ups asking for old equipment back but said I signed a contract and only had 7 days to send it back, hate upc, customer service girl was a ( ) I'm not allowed use this word

Worst Customer Service Ever

we have called upc more times than i care to remember about the problems we have been having with all of our devices such as home phone internet and cable, first the digital boxes, the channels on some of them are just black screened or freezing seconds after turning over or its just saying loss of signal. the phones are down sometimes and the internet, we are supposed to be getting 150mb but it has never gone by 65mb were not even getting half of what we are paying for, one night the internet went right down to 0.03mb and the only way to see was on an app on my phone, so i called upc they sent a technician out after a few calls that was, he said theres nothing wrong basically but yet where still loosing signal and strength on t.v and internet. the service is absolutely appalling..

Tv Reception

Saturday 21/9/13 -19.20 rang UPC to say reception had gone at 19.00. Usual reply that no fault was reported (the fact that I am reporting a fault does not seem to mean a thing). I said I would usually wait for a couple of hours before reporting a fault but because it was Saturday and a few things on the tv that I would watch I rang after 20 minutes. Then told I would be rang back after 10 minutes when they investigated what I said (As they had no other calls). Received no call back and rang again. (I would usually keep a record of the times etc but had not the exact time but I am sure that UPC could tell me as they record phone calls) I was again told no fault reported but was asked had I not been rang back as it seems that there was a note of call to me. I did not receive any call back. I asked when service might be back as the All Ireland Football Final was on next day - he then asked "what time the match was on" - I said what did it matter. There was no point in talking to him as I could not get any indication as to when service might come back. I had asked earlier if they did repairs on the week ends (I should remember from all the other times) and was told they did!!- I knew then that I would have to go elsewhere to watch the match on Sunday. I rang later and usually there would be a recorded message that they were aware of a fault in my area but there was none and I definitely knew then I would be elsewhere watching the Final. Rang Sunday morning at about 12.00 and there was a recorded message at 10.45 saying they were aware of a fault even though I had rang evening before. I just give up with them.

Never Have I Experienced Such Terrible Service!

Called UPC,they promised a call out to install a box 1 week later. During this week tgey called and rearranged to come out 4 days after scheduled date. I agreed and didn't think much of it. As i was at work i arranged for someone to be in my hpuse between 9 - 12, the slot they scheduled 4 me. At 3pm still no show, i called & them n they gave me their excuses and promised to get a tech out before 6, when the tech arrived he said tgat he had no idea why they had sent him as he was not trained to do the job. I called them clearly annoyed and i was promised a xall back from a rech, this never xane. I called a day later and spent another 20 mons on tge phone to ve told they would call ne back. This call never came. If this is how they treat their new customers i think i had a lucky escape when i called. They infuriate him and tgeir cystomer service is embarrasing

You Never Win With Upc

I have a package with UPC for phone which I seldom use, broadband and TV.

Unfortunately there is not much competition for these services.

Anytime I phone UPC with a query or complaint there is some "young one" raising the voice & putting the customer down. Obviously this is how they are trained. Even banks have improved how they treat customers!!!

Upc Review

Upc is terrible! I would never recommend it to any one. After I pause a program it constantly freezes. When I change Chanel or want to go to guide or dvr it takes for ever! Especially on demand that takes much longer. UPC am have really good deals but trust me it is definitely not worth it! Before I got UPC I had sky I wish I had never changed to UPC!
