I've Been A Cobalt Customer For Far Too Long And H

I've been a Cobalt customer for far too long and have suffered for it. They just plain outright SUCK. Their service experiences very high latency, bogs down daily, and the promised speeds you sign up for are never delivered. It is impossible to watch Youtube videos or Netflix streaming, Xbox and Playstation are impossible unless you like a 2 second lag and frequent disconnects from games. And their customer service is flat out the WORST I have ever experienced.

WARNING: DO NOT GET COBALT! They suck beyond belief. They were denied membership in the Bellville Chamber of Commerce. They have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. Look these things up for yourself if you doubt! Also, Google "Cobalt Broadband Reviews, Complaints, etc" ....BEWARE!

We Have Had Cobalt For Over Two Years Now. We Jus

We have had Cobalt for over two years now. We just fired them (as did our neighbors) and signed a contract w/Western Broadband who is local to the Austin area. Initially Cobalt provided acceptable service, however as time has gone on and additional users have been added we have experienced numerous outages, it's been months since we have not experienced an outage or had to reboot at least every two days. We have had more than one outage that stretched over three days!! We do not recommend them until they upgrade their generic equipment and move to more reliable equipment that meets the customer base demand rather than just installing more boosters.

Speed Consistency

The Internet Is Slow For Me And Doesn't Live Up To

The internet is slow for me and doesn't live up to the claims of fast internet. The customer service is unhelpful I feel. They have not yet called back and nothing has been fixed as far as I am aware. We will be in the middle of a search and our internet gets dropped and you have to start all over again. We discovered that in the summer and in the heat of the day the internet go slower. My husband worked out of his home and had to wait to do his work at night when the internet would work better and it was cooler.

We have complained many times and I feel I have received no support. We are paying for faster internet and it really isn't much faster than dial up as far as I am concerned, therefore I do not recommend Cobalt Broadband.com.

I Play A Lot Of Online Gaming, So I Usually Can On

I play a lot of online gaming, so I usually can only play from around 12 am to 7 am before my latency goes insane, but as for just regular internet it isn't that bad, only when it gets really busy does it seem to want to clock out of work. I've had it since August of Last year, and to be honest its been better then anything else available where I live.

I Have Been With Cobalt Broadband For One Year, On

I have been with Cobalt Broadband for one year, only because we have been bound by our TWO YEAR contract, and we didn't have the $ to pay for equipment at another provider. We have decided to just take the loss. We paid $250 for the equipment and Cobalt is refusing to refund it, even though they have not provided us high speed internet for more than two weeks at a time for the entire 12 months we've been with them. For the first several months we couldn't get anyone in the office to call us back. We called them dozens of times and they kept saying they'd call us right back and we never heard from them. Only our persistent pestering would result in a technician coming to our house, at which time the diagnosis was either problems with our router or alignment problems. We bought a new router, and then just did away with a router altogether. When they realigned the equipment, it would be only a matter of days before the service slowed down to SLOWER THAN DIAL UP SPEEDS. Their operators, are rude and arrogant. They told me that they would not refund our equipment charge because they had done us a favour by upgrading our equipment for free in order to try to correct our problems, even though the 'latest and greatest' equipment did nothing to improve our service either. Several times we've been told they are 'upgrading' their tower/service, and that kept us with them for a good 3 months...waiting on that new and improved signal. Then they told us we were the only one's having this problem, but one of their technicians told us that. I'm done with Cobalt Broadband, and I'm going to take the loss of $730 (total) and go with Twilight Broadband. We got them today, and hopefully I'll have a glowing review of them. As for Cobalt, they couldn't be much worse.
