Godley Stud Tameside

I adore every little thing about Godley riding school, It has horses and ponies all sizes and all ability.I would say if your friends like horses and stuff go and tell them about it! they even do courses of taking care of a horse it's called own your own pony week or day! for a WHOLE WEEK it's 70 pound or under! its out of this world! Then when its been a week you can win lots of great stuff! They even do groups of ability! It's just that good i'm speechless, it's just so good i could be there every second! and you can even get private lessons that go up to 4 people! or under! It's amazing! If you live around you must come and if you love horses like me you must must must must! come! They have a great website with prices and things with pictures, gift vouchers, news, and lots lots more! Amazing godley stud is a brilliantly riding school my daughter has a private lesson every Thursday and all the staff there have been brilliant with her my daughter also done the own a pony week and loved it and is doing it again all the staff there are really friendly and the horses are really well looked after

The hired help are so rude you learn nothing and horse riding doesn't come cheap! I would love to see the teachers actaul qualifications I don't belive they have any. It's a very much a click and they do not make you feel welcome. Also don't appreciate my lesson being cancelled and turning up to find this out and not being contacted! Won't be returning sorry

Turned up at my alloted time, to be told cancelled beccause of the Rain, No phone call to let me know. not impressed

I have been at godley for 3 years now I have learnt so much since I've been there, my riding has come on so much been taught everything I know and have been doing my riding and stable management tests there and passed them all with great teaching from the instructors. I have heard people say they love bringing their children to the riding school and they love it, they run so many courses during the holidays which are always great fun the kids love it and they learn so much. Overall I'd say I enjoying being there the lessons are fab and can have fun with the horses it is such a lovely yard to be on too. The horses have so many different characters between them all. I would defiantly say I would recommend this riding school to my friends or anyone it's such a pleasure to be at. :)

You are expected to tack up your horse, lessons get cancelled at the last minute and dont seem to be doing anything different in lessons.I booked private to turn up and find out I was sharing.

Then I tried B1st alright to start of with but again boring lessons no cantering, very untidy yard and underweight horses.

Then Glen Jakes I had four private lessons there my cantering improved and I learnt alot very tidy yard horses look healthy, slightly more expensive but decent lessons.

WHEN T FIRST STARTED AT GODLEY I WAS A NEVEROUSE WRECK THEY HELPED ME VEY WELL SO THANK YOU VERY MUCH IT IS AL SO THE BEST PLACE TO RIDE MY FAVEROUT

I learnt to ride here I enjoyed lesson when I was younger, but I found lessons very repetative. Lesson sizes are far too big. Lesson groups are not very well put together experience wise. If you want a good lesson there would recommend booking private where you get full attention of the instructor. Some horses and Ponies are very old and probably should be retired, but they do have a wide range of horses and ponies to learn on. Group lessons are overpriced for what you get. You learn more if you are one of there favourite riders. Instructors are nice. There are better riding schools in the area.

Godley Stud is amazing! The horses are great! I did my first ever lesson on a black pony called Peggy. The instructors encouraged me to canter and I thought I would fall or something. I did my first ever canter on a horse called Bobby! He's amazing! Great instructs! I also like the fact that you can un-tack the horses if they are going back into the stable.
