I Have A Shitz Tzu Girl Age 7 Month. I Have Had Ti
I have a shitz tzu girl age 7 month. I have had Tilly since she was 8 weeks old. I really love her and she loves me-sumtimes too much! She has a great nature and everybody loves her especially my 2 children whom she just cant get enough of. I took Tilly to a Puppy training class, i would recommend this to any dog owner. It has taught her 2 be good around other dogs. There was all kinds of dogs at the puppy training and she loved it.It taught her to be social with other dogs. I thought that Tilly would be a wee yap when other dogs were around her but the puppy class stopped this. She is a really good little dog i would recomend getting a shitz tzu and with the right training they will be your dream dog . Toilet training is the same its all about timing-you need to realise when your dog needs to go.Its never Tillys fault that she has done the toilet in the house its mine because i didnt take her out when she needed to go..... She only has a small bladder! I hope this helps.

I Have A One Year Old Male Shih Tzu. I Got Him Whe
I have a one year old male Shih Tzu. I got him when he was 4 months old & he is absolutely adorable. He is extremely spoilt and well cared for. I have not had any problems with him being vicious. We often joke he's like a grumpy old man as he sometimes gets a little moody if somebody interrupts when he is spending time with me. This is rare though, he's only done this about twice the whole time we've had him - never bitten anyone or anything but gets a bit moody and will move away from the person or turn his back on him when they try to pat him. He is very, very loyal and often can pick up on my moods. When I'm upset or sick he will climb up onto my bed and snuggle into me. He is a fantastic companion. But I know this might not apply to all Shih Tzu's, we have nurtured this behaviour since he was a puppy. We always discuss how we believe he is half human / half dog. He is such a little joker.
One night I was eating dessert on the couch watching tv. He was hanging around (hoping I would share!), when he realised he didn't have a chance he went outside. Then I heard this awful barking / yelping and I thought somebody had come into the yard & was attacking him! So I put my dessert down on the couch & rushed outside to his rescue! As soon as I was outside, he raced inside, jumped on the couch & started licking & eating my dessert !!!! So anyone who thinks Shih Tzu's are "dumb", "stupid" or "useless" - YOU are the FOOL. They are SO intelligent. The reason they won't comply to training methods is because they are SUPER arrogant! They won't listen to you if they believe they are higher in the "pack" than you. And trust me, unless you are firm they do think they are higher in the pack and are NOT going to be taking orders from somebody beneath them. So from the onset, you must be firm, direct and the boss. And then you will reap the rewards of a loyal, fun, energetic, intelligent, funny companion.
He is an inside dog and we he was true to nature in training him. I don't know if it took longer than most dogs (as he was my first puppy) but it did take a while to toilet train him. But in saying that, he's a little dog so it was never a big issue if he did an "accident" inside.
He does have a very sensitive stomach (as we have learnt) and I would reccommend only ever feeding a shih tzu dog food. I have had cattle dogs, daschund, poodle, sheep dog, husky and border collies but my Shih Tzu is my favourite. Full of personality and a dash of naughtiness. He's not uncontrollable, he just likes mischief. He often starts by giving you licks on your fingers than every now and again you'll feel a little nip, and if he thinks you haven't noticed & he can get away with it he'll start playfully nipping your hand! But a simple "uh" & he goes back to licking straight away. I would never give this dog up for the world and he is fantastic with Children Cats and other dogs. Very protective but not vicious.

I Was Given A 1 And A Half Shih Tzu From My Mother
i was given a 1 and a half Shih Tzu from my mother law who could not look after him anymore . after a clean up and hes hair cut which was so matted he looked like he had dredlocks lol which he didnt mind the full cleanup .so he now looks so cute now then he did before i took he i could see him now . any way there very playfull dogs and loving there a indoor dog and dont like been left in back yards . our ben as he called has separation anxiety, which these dogs sometimes have having read loads off pages on the net . there cry so much when you leave them in the house for a few mins while you take the bin out or get your mail . when you go to bed there sleep outside the door as you cant leave them in a room as there scream the house down which i never know a dog to do untill we got him i know hes still a pup well acts like a baby when he screams . and now we have a new baby coming in feb next year so we need to sort this out now before he gets worse . having talk to the pdsa person about a anti bark coller which is ultrsonic from ebay which was the cheapest place most places want £60 which sprays him which is not fair . i thought i try him on him its £3.99 from ebay which is like a collar you leave him on hes own and the when he crys and barks the collar does a utrasonic beep to him or you can set it to beep and let you know when it does it . just make sure its quite in the room he training from as the washer played havoc with the collar and he ripped the cat flap off to get in the back yard . after 3 mins at night he was quite as a pin drop and so he was when we waited out side the front door for 15 mins which the anti bark collar was working . a must have product to train him that screaming the house down is not allowed apart from that hes a lovely dog . you need to groom them everyday so there dont get matted

I Have Got S Shih Tzu At The Moment And Omg I Love
I have got s shih tzu at the moment and OMG i love him soo much!!
I spoke to a trainer and we were intending to train him on our own and she said to me, and these are her exact words
' Shih Tzu's are such family orientated animals that the training really should be done by the owner but hints and tips can be given.'
Romeo was dead easy to train with cheese and chicken. you need to do it quickly from an early age or they lose interest. I done 1 1/2 hours of training everynight with Romeo and he began to like training!
Love Shih Tzu's soo much!!

I Used To Have A Shih Tzu And He Was A Lovable Lit
I used to have a Shih Tzu and he was a lovable little scamp! He was probably the least intelligent dog that i have had and he did get aggressive from time to time but on the whole he was a very entertaining little chap. I found it very difficult train him to do anything interesting other than sit (under duress) and as i say, he was a little bitey hence the low score but i thought he looked cute and had a funny old faceDefinitely a scamp!
I Used To Have A Shih Tzu. They Have A Fluffy And
I used to have a Shih Tzu. They have a fluffy and beautful coat of fur. I love them!
