Ordered a pair of lights (just under £200) which arrived quickly but with damaged glass shades.

After a number of telephone calls and filling in the returns form I was told that the replacment glass would take around 10 days to arrive.

14 days later I tried to contact them by phone a nd the first day BT had a message stating the was a fault with the line and after that the number just rang with no answer. I then contacted the light manufacturer who had other phone numbers but could not get an answer.

Have now gone to the creditcard company to get a refund.

I recommend anyone stays well clear of this company.

Having read the other, more recent, reviews about this company I wish I had the foresight to have checked them out before I made a purchase. They are absolutely terrible. I too am waiting for a refund (having been told that they had a problem with their supplier which is why they could not deliver the lights to me) and have never been able to get through on their help line number. Having also exchanged a number of e.mails with them I am very dissapointed by their response and lack of efficiency at dealing with these matters. I would not reccomend them to anyone.

I ordered 2 wall lights and a chandelier from directlight 2 months ago worh £220.00. An incomplete order turned up and that was damaged. They couldnt complete the order so I returned the order and was going to order other when i had a refund. That when the fun started. I was told up to 30 days for a refund. I waited. Then I was told "we have got a backlog", who has a backlog of refunds???!!!. I ended up after 15 emails and several phonecalls (the phone number didnt work for the last 7 attepmts)contacting trading standards and my solicitor. I sent them a recorder delivery letter stating my intentions. Then guess what.... they refunded me!! I will never use them again and this is the firs ever review I have ever written about a company. Thats how bad they are. Thanks.

Beware of this horrible company, ordered a light from their website, they took my money and advised me the item would be delivered in 5-7 days. it never arrived, they said they dropped it and would send me a new one, after I waited a few days I was told it was out of stock and they would tell me in 14 days if they can get the item I ordered. So I cancelled the order, now they tell me I have to wait 30 days to get my money back. They will have had my money for nearly 7 weeks.

We ordered a wall light from your website in an attempt to match one we already have, having been told by another company that the item is no longer available. Your brilliant Customer Service team could not have been more helpful in sourcing this item for us direct from the supplier. They kept us informed every step of the way, right up to the item being delivered this morning. Thank you so much for a truly exceptional standard of customer service - I am sure we will use you again, and we will not hesitate to recommend to our friends and family.

I've got my own contract business and have spent a fair amount of dosh with directlight.co.uk. They've spent ages on the phone with me going through their clearance stock and have done some cracking prices. I don't normally bother with review sites but came across this one and felt some comments were unfair. My experience with this company has been a good one. They're cheap, friendly and seem to value their customers. If they were bad in the past they have certainly got their act together. Worth giving them a go!

I looked at these reviews after I placed my first ever order on the net and quite frankly I was worried so I phoned directlight the day after. My call was answered in 3 rings, the girl on the phone was very helpful, she went through my order with me, checked all the details and helped me choose more lights for when I am ready to do my kitchen. My order arrived in 7 days and I was delighted, great value for money and excellent service.

My advice is ring them and talk to them ! I will be placing another order when I am ready.

Im regularly on the web buying various bits and bobs as a architect and would definitly visit directlight again for my projects. Efficient and speedy delievery lots to choose from the lights look stunning 9/10

I spent over 2K with directlight and got a great discount. There are some cowboys on the web and directlight are not one of them. Prices are very competitive, girls on the phone are helpful and I will use them again in the future. I wouldn't hesitate to recm'd this site and my overall shopping experience was a good one. directlight have a friendly customer service team. Honest company who despite being a little slow delivering came up trumps in the end. Worth giving them a go. I've being renovating my house for a year and have had some bad experiences on the web. 7/10
