Appalling Customer Service

Appalling service from these guys. Took my order (and money) and then closed a week later blaming Corona Virus. Apart from the fact that my blinds should have been delivered before they closed there has been ZERO communication. Just shut up shop with no communication to customers with existing orders. No answer to emails, no answer to phone calls (continuous wait, pretty sure there is no one there at all, most likely some kind of premium rate phone line).

Yes unprecedented times at the moment, but no excuse for lack of communication. A couple of people including myself made comments on their Facebook page asking where our orders were and surprise surprise the comments were removed so someone is obviously checking things.

Checking through other reviews for this company over the years it seems there's been plenty of other people commenting on their awful customer service. Avoid at all costs guys, there's plenty of better companies out there.

Money Taken, No Blinds Delivered, No Communication, Avoid

"exact" Fit Blinds Are Not Exact. Bad Experience!

Exact fit are not Exact! They don't fit. Delivered Late, Tardy customer service. Happy taking the money but not happy to honour their part of contract.

So I followed WilsonsBlinds' internet instructions on measuring "Exact" fitting blinds; They state; Measure the width you want the blind to cover (that means the fabric doesn't it, the picture shows this).

When placing your order you will enter the measurements you require for the width and drop into our website and choose the "Exact Blind Size" option as you have measured and want your blind to be made to your exact sizes.

As per their site - wilsonsblinds .co. uk/measuring-guides/

NOT SO! It is not an exact fit to my exact measurements!

Sent picture of measurement on first set they sent me that were all narrow by 3cm, showing what width was required. 2nd set sent the same; too narrow!

Now they say it's my fault, but I followed the instruction to the letter on how to measure an exact fit and enter the size!

When I finally got a response on the first time they blamed the manufacturer, now they blame me.

They own the problem and don't want to do anything about it.

I cannot recommend WilsonsBlinds at all. Save money and most of all your time, avoid.

When Things Go Wrong They Wont Put It Right

When they make mistake they wont put it right ...

I have received the wrong blinds ordered from this company, this company doesnt take responsibility for when things go wrong, instead they prefer blaming manufacturer and internal processes.

I have a huge long box laying on my narrow hallway for 36 hours representing a trip hazard to my kids and despite numerous conversations with their customer service agent and their waste of customers time asking photos etc and explaining in the detail the situation i am still waiting for a courier collection and information of when the blinds i ordered , in priority delivery which i paid extra for, will be dispatched.

The company has also not offered any refunds for all inconvenience caused , not even for the priority delivery fee i paid when initially placing order. I will have extra costs with handyman booking and this was all explained to this company but they just do not care.

Terrible experience, a company that do not put things straight right when they go wrong do not need ones trade!

Arrived Blinds, Left Enlightened... Top Customer Service

I stretched my Bermudas over my middle age cuddly bits all ready to surf the Net in search of some much needed Venetian Blinds... prepared for continued disappointment I hit SEARCH.

Previous searches had led me to believe that wide wooden blinds were totally beyond the reach of my humble income.

Getting bored of my seemingly fruitless search and seriously considering a peanut butter sandwich I gave one more website some dubious consideration... I had stumbled onto Wilsons Blinds.

Quickly the tasty peanut butter sandwich faded into an unquenched desire as I began to look through the range and calculate the cost of the three blinds I had hoped to buy. I found the site to be wonderfully user friendly and quickly discovered that I could afford wooden blinds and I could afford 50mm wide blinds... Wilsons Blinds had smashed the competition... not Tim Henman style but the full Andy Murray!

As I can frequently be compared to a Muppet... more Gonzo than Beaker, maybe even Swedish Chef... I decided to telephone my order in .

Something remarkable happened when I dialed the number, it was answered without me having to play the chess game of pushing buttons... press 1 for menu, press 2 for therapy etc and before I had time to put the kettle on... normally you wait so long you can make a cuppa and plan a banquet... a friendly Customer Service advisor was greeting me.

All my enquiries were answered in a friendly, supportive (I sometimes have speech problems) and very helpful way. I ordered the blinds within my budget and even contacted Wilsons agin to add a further blind to my order.

I have yet to receive my order and am looking forward to its delivery... Watch this space to find out if the finale is as good as show!

... I did get my peanut butter sandwich :-)

I would like to say what a fantastic service I received from your company, not only was the ordering online easy , but the quality and instructions on how to put them up was excellent, my partner is not very good with his words when doing DIY but on the occasion he was very calm, I was so impressed with design and colour. It has transformed the front of my house for the better. In time I will order more for the rest of the house.

Once again 10/10 thank you for the blinds I love them

Roller Blind

I am so pleased with the whole experience from ordering the Roller Blind, the blind arrived on time and was packed very professionally. The quality of the blackout blind is brilliant and it was so easy to fit the blind too. I will not hesitate to order further blinds in the future and recommended Wilsons Blinds to family and friends.

Human Error At Wilson's Blinds End Cost Me Money

I ordered 2 blinds from Wilson's and called in to make sure it was all correct. One arrived the correct length but the other was too short. Emailing customer services they told me even though the sales girl had put through the correct sizing for one blind she had written it incorrectly on the order form. The human error was at her end. I hadn't checked the order so closely as I'd just spent 20 mins on the phone asking the girl a myriad questions and felt reassured ! Clearly she HAD taken the correct measurements and passed it onto their production dept but because she made a mistake on the order that was on email to me they wouldn't do anything about it. I guess it is just luck who you get answering the phone so be very wary calling in an order !!

After-sales Service No Good

Not a good company to deal with.

Why only one star? Because I cannot give less!!

I ordered and had delivered two roller blinds.

Up until just after delivery Wilsons would have got a five star rating, but I needed to contact them about the length of the chain. I now find I have to join the majority of reviews in giving one star for much the same reason as the others!

Their pre-sale customer service was terrific, the delivery on time, and the quality of the roller blinds everything I would want or expect. The after-sales service can only be described in negative terms.

My PERCEIVED problem was that it appeared that the chain would not be long enough to lower the blind to its full length as the ‘break link’ would not pass through the cog mechanism (2.43 mtrs drop with 1.9 mtrs length of chain loop). As it turned out due to the cog to roller ratio there was enough chain to work, but this was NOT pointed out to me, and I only found out when I fitted the blinds for their intended purpose (photographic back-drops).

Instead of pointing out that the length of chain would be long enough they insisted that they could not supply a longer chain because of ‘health and safety’. As an ex H&S rep (long time retired) this got me very angry as they were applying the regulations for vertical/venetian blinds etc with a continuous loop which needs to be secured at least 1.5 mtrs above the floor, to the regulations for roller blinds with a safe-break-connector which can be loose down to 0.6 mtrs above the floor. To add insult to injury when I emailed them they offered complete side winder mechanisms at £6.50 each which were longer and I could fit them myself! I purchased a two lengths of chain from Amazon more than long enough for my requirements for both blinds for less than £3 in total.

The second problem was that I ordered an exact width of blind. The blinds delivered were reduced in size as if I had ordered to a window recess. As it was it did not matter as I am using the blinds as photographic backdrops. I pointed this out in my email to them stating that it did not matter, but along with wanting me to buy two side winders they wanted photographs showing the length of the ‘head-rail’ which does not exist, even though I had stated that it did not matter! They obviously had NOT read my email! I lost the will to live.

Their ‘after sales’ manner, both on the phone and in the email, was one of someone that does not care and was just rolling out stock answers, as could be clearly seen in the email (cut and paste text of varying size and font). Once they have got your order . . .

ALL of this could have been avoided if I had been given correct friendly advice when I first phoned up about the chain length.

My advice is DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY if you think that you may need after-sales care or service – there isn’t any!

Unhappy Customer West Sussex

Ordered blinds from this outfit, blinds arrived a completely different colour, when I complained was asked to send photos, then the "Customer Service Person" said I was wrong and they were the colour I ordered, when I sent a copy of the colour on their website against my photos they said I was wrong, I do know the difference between sand and cream by the way. They said I should have got a sample first so ther was nothing they could do.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Or you will think you are colourblind.!!

I recieved today 3 vertical blinds, 2 of which are okay but the 3rd is faulty. The string pull does not work, also the chain for twisting the curtain is faulty. I have tried to telephone them most of today, but always get a recorded message saying that all the operators are busy. What should I do so that I can resolve this problem and get a replacement rail?
