Best Mattress We've Ever Had
We bought three mattresses from "thesleeproom', now Loaf. That was about three years ago. They even made for us a mattress in a special size. For the first time I had no back pain when I awoke on this mattress. (We have a lot of experience with beds, because we are older.) All our guests say we have comfy beds. I think it is natural to get a little sinking in. If that is not the case, then probably your bed is too hard. And if you want a harder bed, then go for the hardest they offer.
The only negative is for us, that this company is not on the continent, so if you want their products, you have to import them, which is expensive.

Bad Service
I ordered and parted with £1600 pounds and was told my Bagsie sofa would be six weeks before delivery. I am now into week 10 and have sent many emails to chase up this delivery but they never respond to them. Great website and lots of fashionable trendies working for loaf but not so great at actually running a business!

Mattress Went From 'firm' To Squidgy And Soft In Six Months
We were initially pleased with the king size mattress we bought from 'The Sleep Room' (now 'Loaf'), but within 6 months 'firm' had become soft and lumpy, with a severe dip in the middle when occupied by both of us.
We complained, and were asked to send pictures of the mattress, which we did.
No response was forthcoming, but by the time this became obvious we were dealing with a newborn baby and had no time to follow up our complaint.
When things calmed down and we chased them up they were not interested in discussing the problem or inspecting the mattress themselves. They did send a FIRA inspector who examined the mattress and pronounced it within acceptable standards. His test did not include lying on it with another person!
Since then I have had two utterly pointless conversations, one with a member of the sales team (I think) and one with a manger. Both told me that due to the FIRA report the could not do anything further for us.
When I asked what advice they would give me as a customer, as the mattress is now impossible for us to sleep comfortably on, they would not respond, except to reiterate that there was nothing they could do for us.
I am currently waiting for another phone call from them, in which they will no doubt tell me again that there is nothing they can do.
A quick google for sleep room mattress problems seems to show quite a few people have had a similar experience.
I would advise against any purchase from this company, based on their substandard product, and unhelpful customer service team - calling me to tell me they are unable to do anything about my complaint, and are unable to advise me on what I should do about my extremely uncomfortable mattress.
Avoid!

Bad Experience With Loaf
First and foremost, Loaf appears to be a great company, selling great products at great prices. I cannot deny they are friendly, helpful and do sell good products. Due to all this we decided to buy a daybed and a Coco Bed from them. All was fine until the goods arrived. The Daybed was a completely different colour from the one displayed in their store and on their web. The one they advertised is a natural mango wood colour and we get a light baby blue one. To add to this, we also found there were parts missing off the coco bed and the instruction manual was wrong.
Upon calling them they initally said that daybed is the same in their shop and in the their web. When we sent them evidence (pictures) they eventually admitted that this daybed was from a " batch that was done in this colour " . The quality of the daybed we got sent is very poor so be very careful about this. Since we live abroad they said that they would not give us a refund (unless we shipped the bed back at our cost) and would only offer 100 pounds as goodwil. To add to all of this the parts for the Coco bed which they did send eventually took a good 6 weeks to come so we couldn't build the bed!
My biggest issue with Loaf is that they are refusing to give us a refund based on the fact that they sold us the wrong product. We are now going through Citizens Advice Bureau, the Trading Standards and our lawyers to get our money back.

Never Buy From Here... The Worst Mistake I Have Ever Made
Service was ok at first with literature and a lively way of marketing which drew us in. The showroom was full of various beds and mattresses. Delivery was good. The bed was replaced within 2 weeks as the first one arrived it was rock solid to sleep on.
However, after 3 months of using the 2nd Super King mattress delivered and doing everything according to the manufacturers instructions, turning the bed every few weeks - which in itself was quite difficult, mine and my wifes sides of the bed started to dip with a huge raised part in the centre. After 6 months the dips were truely uncomfortable with sleepless nights.
On contact, the store from the outset did not want to know anything about it. Once legal action had been suggested they sent an independent investigator to look in to it.
The worring part was that although the investigator's report did in fact note a dip on both sides of 2.5cm and 2.8cm on either side of the bed, it did not meet the manufacturer's requirements of severity to investigate further or offer a replacement.
I think that it is quite unheard of that if a mattress is so uncomfortable in any way in such a short period of time that it should meet certain requirements before it can be investigated. At the end of the day each client is different and my wife and I are not heavy people. We are less than 75kg and 65kg each.
I was disappointed having spent so much money and had a product last only a few months. We have since sent the mattress to the local recycling plant. We would never buy another item from these guys again.
On another note, I recall seeing several ads on ebay and gumtree of people selling their Loaf mattresses after a short period of time. Perhaps they encountered the same issues.
I have just trolled through the reviews on here and can see that there are several negative reviews regarding their mattresses and in particular the super king size which seems to have manufacturing faults/ problems that they do not want to address...
PLEASE READ ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS HERE AND WHERE EVER ELSE YOU CAN FIND IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING BUYING A MATTRESS FROM THEM.
IS IT WORTH THE RISK??? GO SOMEWHERE WHERE YOU HAVE SOME GUARANTEE OF GOOD SERVICE AND CARE IF YOU DO ENCOUNTER PROBLEMS.
Is there a timeframe on doing this? Thanks for letting me know.
Theres always the small claims court. You can make a claim under the sale of goods act ie goods not of merchantable quality
We have had such bad experience too!!!!!!!!! Mattress too firm and they do not want to know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do Not Buy A Mattress From The Sleep Room (aka Loaf)
This is the first review I have ever written for a product but felt compelled to do so having been completely mislead by The Sleep Room (Loaf). I bought a few items, including two beds and two mattresses from The Sleep Room (Loaf) in 2011. Whilst I was pleased with the Coco bed (the 'Amazing Base' bed is low quality for the price), within a few weeks the supposedly 'firm' kingsize mattress had become an extremely soft mattress with a large dip in the middle which we unavoidably roll into. I sent an email of complaint to the Sleep Room (Loaf) but they were not willing to put anything in writing regarding the issue and told me via telephone that they had not received any other complaints about the mattress - clearly a lie as there are reviews pre-dating my conversation concerning the same complaint! Needless to say they were of no further help and the arrogant young lady I spoke with clearly thought she was far too important to be speaking with customers.
The mattress has become increasingly soft to the point I have just had to replace it - opting for a reassuringly expensive option recommended by industry experts.
Do not get taken in by the pretentious Sleep Room staff in Notting Hill (Kensal Rise really) with their flowery talk and flowery website. The term, 'if something seems too good to be true, it probably is' certainly applies in this case and I should have known better!
Worst Mattress Ever!
Our mattress from The Sleep Room started getting very 'lumpy' soon after we started sleeping on it. It is regularly used by 2 people and, regardless of the reccommended rotation, the middle-least used- part of it has formed a 'hunch'. Needless to say, it is not what we expected! Sleep Room stuff has been very unhelpful and since we did not contact them within 14 days, ( as it took longer than that for this peoblem to develop) after one initial response to our email (a standard letter that they seem to have written for all the people that have complaint about this) they have NOT responded to our firm request of a refund or credit note. Their faulty item does not fit the description of their brochure.
8 months on and we are forced to buy a new mattress as my husband has developed terrible back pain. If anyone has any luck in getting some fair treatment out of The Sleep Room customer service, please let us know how.
I suggest taking it up with Trading Standards - items have to be a) fit for purpose and b) as described. This is not of the quality described. Also, am surprised to hear that, if it's as fantastic as their website claims, they don't provide a guarantee with it! I'm so glad I read this before ordering. I hope you get it sorted!
True. Mattresses sag in the middle too. Company also denies anything wrong with their products.
Can Think Of Another S Word Than "squishy" To Describe This
Don't get drawn in by the marketing machine at Loaf as sadly we did. I've just had back surgery and was in the market for a well-constructed mattress. I'd seen the reviews and read the marketing spiel. Pocket sprung, won't ever need to be turned etc etc.
What you get in essence is a lumpy, thick mattress. We complained within a few weeks and were told... "didn't you see the note in the packaging" you need to rotate it consistently in the first few weeks. Hmmm sounds like turning to me.
The mattress is like sleeping on a wad of old towels bunched up together. It's hot and exactly like a memory foam mattress but worse... it sags and forms dips where you've been lying. It means there's simply no avoiding a ridge forming in the middle of the bed. As that's naturally the place where nobody lies. Loaf say... then lie on it. Hmmm again not practical for two people now is it?
They won't even entertain a return / refund. We're stuck with this ssssss(quidgy) mattress. Given my serious back issues I'm not sure what to do as we can't afford a replacement so soon after buying this one (within 6 months).
So we just keep turning it and the two of us squeeze up on one side so we can attempt to flatten this god awful ridge.
Thanks Loaf.

I have same problem.
We had exactly the same experience as you! About to throw their 8 months olf mattress away after not succeeding in getting them to listen. Very upsetting!
Beware Of Their Returns Policy.
We are still living the nightmare of the Sleep Room (now Loaf) mattress which we bought a while ago.
I can't believe all the positive reviews of the customer service when they were so obstructive and unhelpful when we wanted to send our mattress back after 24 hours. 1 year later we still can't afford a new one and are both suffering terrible back pain because of the lack of support in the mattress.
Basic advice - the 'Firm' mattress is not firm at all; it's similar to a soft mattress from any other manufacturer. And, more importantly, if you so much as slit the wrapping by an inch, even just to feel the fabric, they won't take it back.
The Worst Service Ever
The experience I have had with Loaf is appalling . 8 weeks ago I parted with the best part of £1500 to them expecting as advertised to be in receipt of a new sofa in 5-7 weeks. I had to chase any information throughout the 5-7 week window with no proactive communication until week 8, from lovely Amy. However I got told it would be delivered at the end of week 8 and then delivered to me which I am now told is not the case. First an issue with the fabric ( fabricated story more like) then a problem with the frame and now no idea when it will be ready. They do not do compensation only some small non quantifiable offer of vouchers. Quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever received from a furniture company. Lovely branding, good query marketing, diabolical follow through and service. Graeme – still sitting on the floor!
