The company appears to have been dissolved and has reinvented itself under the name Titus Fire & Security. Not the first time they appear to have done this, in fact they have done so numerous times. Avoid at all costs

If I could give them no stars I would.

I have been trying to speak to someone there for weeks now. Sometimes I'm able to speak to someone at their call centre 'Reception', but they always tell me there's no one available for me to speak to and that they will ask someone to call me back as soon as possible. I am still waiting.

Other times no-one answers the phone.

I briefly was able to email someone but they seem to have now disappeared and are no longer responding to my emails.

I have emailed every contact that they advertise on their website, in the hope that someone may actually respond to me, but I don't hold out much hope.

They need to amend their website as it is currently claiming that I should be able to 'speak to our friendly experts today'.

I'd leave them and go with someone more reliable and respected, like Banham, but I can't contact anyone to end the contract.

I had an alarm fitted three years ago; the company boasted that it's monitoring service would only ever dial out on UK landline telephone numbers to ensure all call charges would be captured by an inclusive phone package. In July 2014, without warning, the alarm started dialling out on a premium rate number and my phone bill rocketed. I only noticed a few months later and have been calling Protect Solutions ever since to demand an explanation and refund....but there is NO WAY TO SPEAK TO ANYONE FROM THE COMPANY.

The charming third party call centre team appear to share the sense of disbelief that nobody from Protect Soutions has ever bothered to phone me back (they tell me they have spoken to so many callers complaining of the same utterly abysmal 'customer service'), and this seems to accord with some of the other reviews below.

Meanwhile, my phone bill continues to soar...

Legal action imminent.

We had an alarm system installed a few years back. I needed extra smoke alarms and an additional door sensor. I paid over the phone and they said they would install these items the following week. That was 3 months ago. Now cannot get hold of anyone - they use a phone call centre - they do not have a real reception.

I have called about 10 times now but no one returns my calls.

I would stay away.

We had an alarm system installed by Protect Solutions for just over eight months now, and our detached garage was broken into yesterday. The alarm activated and they run from the property, this has just saved us £30,000 as my husbands work stuff is in the garage and are not insured.

We had to call them out to re-fix the sensor on the garage door as they broke it with the door. the engineer was out before we knew it and the system is all back working.

My husband and I cannot thank Protect Solutions enough for protecting our livelihood. Thank you so much, we are so glad we have chosen to get an alarm.

atay away. cant never get hold of anybody. reception answers the phone if you have a problem and never get hold of the engineers. stay away at all cost.

We had protect solutions install our alarm system about six months ago now, and cannot fault this company in anyway. They have really gone beyond our expectations including advising us on how to install our own locks to safe some money.

All I can say is they installed the alarm at a very reasonable cost, they have done their maintenance visit as promised and the system just works. That’s what you want right?

We have recently moved into our house and called several companies to see what we can do with our existing alarm system. We had them out and all said we needed to install a new system, we also had the company out who installed it previously who tried to charge me £275 call-out to reset and demo the system to us. We then found Protect Solutions on-line and got one of their salesman’s out who talked through what they could offer us, option one get my existing system running or install a new one. In the end we wanted to get our existing system working, they charged just £75 for this and it was done in no time at all. Really good service and the guys that turned up were really helpful.

We have had our system installed for about two months now, and I promised the salesman that I would reccomend Protect Solutions to everyone once I was sure what I have bought and are happy.

I searched the web for home security and got overwhelmed by security companies offering all different systems at all different prices. Some had monthly fees some didn’t; it was really hard to make the right choice.

Just a warning to people who are looking for a system, whoever you go with is to add up the monthly cost over the contract period along with the cost of the system. Check what happens at the end of the contract, do you own the system? Can the system be used without a contract? Is the company registered with a trade body? I know these are a lot to think about but you need to get it right, and first time!

Well I called Protect Solutions and a salesman called Will turned up at my door and was really helpful, not pushy, and left in good time. I don’t know about you but I do not like being pushed into signing on the day and having someone staying in my lounge for hours until I sign. So Will I give you 10 out of 10 well done!

The next stage and like many people I was worrying that the salesman will make me at ease and tell me everything to get me to sign then run away. But this was not the case; the engineer turned up on time, and installed the system in record time. The system was easy to understand and operate.

The system was in for around two weeks and we had a problem, but this was nothing to do with the system it was my husband wanted to knock a wall down and we forgot to take the sensor off the wall ops! Well we called the call centre at around 8pm on a Saturday and in a flash we had an engineer turned up who managed to fix the broken sensor and re-fit it back on the other wall.

It has now been two months and I have recommended Protect Solutions to my neighbour, mother-in-law and my sister and two of them now have a system installed by them. Which was also nice as I received two months free monitoring for recommending them. I am really chuffed!

So all in all I give this company 10 out of 10 and would recommend them time and time again, with the confidence that they would never let me down.
