Beautiful Wooden Windows
I was delighted with the service I received from TTWC , from the salesman who came to tell us what to expect and showed us models of exactly how the wooden windows would look. The men who installed them arrived on time , were clean and tidy about their work . With minimum fuss or mess our windows were installed . They look really lovely . They are first class. As was the whole procedure from beginning to end. We could not be happier with the end result. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Hard To Believe These Bad Reviews. I Have Used Thi
Hard to believe these bad reviews. I have used this company for nearly twenty years and have have always had good workmanship, friendly staff and good after sales service. I understand that the company went through a difficult patch recently. But having just used them again I was pleased at the top rate service they gave. The company are using their original fitters who are very experienced and competent

A Perfect Job And Exactly In Time
Traditional Window Company replaced all windows in my flat. This consisted of the refurbushiment of three sash windows, new windows in the reception room and in the kitchen, french doors in the reception room and a door in the kitchen (to the garden).
I very happy with all the work they have done. There was a stained glass window in my reception room above the French door. This was a feature I definately wanted to keep. I had a number of quotes from different companies, but most of them did not really have any sensible proposals regarding this window. Traditional Windows Company took it out, cleaned it and put it between a new double glass window. Now it is back and everything is double glazed and looks perfect.
The job took them 5 days. This was exactly the time frame they given when they send me the offer. Every evening they left everything clean and tidy.
They did a great job and I would definitely recommend them, in particular, if you want to have windows which fit to a period house.

Efficient, Reliable And Personable
Having had a terrible experience with a different timber window manufacturer, we were recommended The Traditional Window Company by a colleague. The quote was very competitive and they were able to make the windows in a good lead time. The windows were installed on time, by a very friendly team. They cleared up after themselves, and were very unobtrusive. They were even considerate over my toddler's nap times.
The windows are of an excellent standard, and a friend of ours who makes traditional windows in Yorkshire gave them the once over, and said they were good.
I would not hesitate to recommend TTWC to anyone else.

Perfect For Customers Who Like Being Insulted
I experienced nothing but arrogant and disdainful treatment from this company. Once I parted with money all could expect was poor customer service, shoddy workmanship and closed ranks from this company desperately trying to punch considerably above its weight. The list of installation problems is endless and now that I have fully settled my bill they do not even feel obliged to honour their '10 year guarantee' when further problems developed.
• The French doors were fitted about half an inch off centre, leaning by around an inch (top compared to bottom) and slightly bowing out. This has been blamed on myself/my builder
• The frame of the French doors was left with shiny glue visible on parts of it
• The window glazing was originally supplied with the wrong colour spacers*
• The first set of windows was originally supplied with the wrong handles*
• The kitchen door door was originally fitted with a cracked panel*
• The front door lock cover was originally supplied with the wrong type**
• One of the window locks did not operate correctly in the vent position**
• The front door was nearly fitted in a way that would not have allowed for the new flooring explained at the original survey. However, this was averted by my builder being on site
• One of the window boards was left behind and never even fitted by the company
• Some of the window boards (charged at £50 per metre) have been left with a rough unpainted finish
• One window was fitted with a liner in the top reveal which slopes by half an inch to the left compared to the right hand side, resulting in a bow in the middle
• Some of the other windows were not fitted to true plumb
• The company did not register for the FENSA certification within 20 days following the completion of the installation, as required by law. Registration took place after my intervention with FENSA
• Post installation cracks between the liners and the window frames appeared and the front door lock developed a fault. Two months after reporting these, I am being fobbed off and I am still waiting for the company to honour its '10 year guarantee'
* These were corrected three months later
** These were corrected five weeks later

The issue here is due to Mr Marek Warno inability to communicate correctly with his builder. The openings were not constructed to the correct size meaning that out products had to be altered on-site to suit his own openings.
We also had to warn him about directing abusive behaviour to various members of staff. We did a few minor issues with project, however these were resolved at the time of us being notified.
As a company we always strive to go beyond our customers expectations and we feel that this was achieved on this occasion. The clients builder unfortunately didn't help due to his incompetence to understand basic building practices.

No Product Continuity
My windows began being fitted in August 2014. The sash windows looked fantastic.
Then it came to fitting the single casement window and doors... The glazing and the glazing bars in the casement and doors were totally different. I insisted on them being changed to match the sashes which look good.
After two and fros and getting no-where, I was on the cusp of getting my solicitor involved. Eventually come December, they relented, and we agreed a compromise whereby they would fit new glazing and glazing bars. These never looked as good as the sash, but we're just about acceptable - although not really for the price premium involved.
Since it was a compromise just to get the job finished, I was obviously not happy to pay the full amount - something Traditional Windows wasn't happy with, demanding the full money and holding back guarantee and sign off. Stale mate.
Well, July 2015, six months later, and the compromise glazing bars are beginning to peel off, and flies have trapped behind the sticky, looking dreadful. I hoped TraditionAl Windows would have a little more integrity than this, but they refuse to fix the problem.
Biggest mistake I've made choosing this company - hassle right from the word go, and dreadful customer service, including calling me a liar (rather than their salesman who missold the product in the first place). Could've chosen a local carpenter for £10k less. Why I didn't I don't know now.
Do not use.
It's a real shame when a customers decides to leave a negative review.
We went above and beyond to rectify and issues raised with this project and in a short period of time. Mr Young then decided without reason to withhold monies from the balance, unfortunately there are knockers out there and he is top of the list, he should be ashamed of himself!
We will always rectify any issue raised with us at the time or during the 10 year warranty period and we have many thousands of satisfied customers to back up our fantastic customer service.

No Customer After Care
Company has no customer after care. Once they've installed the windows and collected money they no longer interested in the customer. One of the handles on the window they've installed broke almost straight away and it took me almost 6 months to get the company to send the engineer to fix it. Windows now (less than 1y after the installation) has developed another fault and i have a feeling it will be another 6m of uphill battle to force them to rectify it - even though they provide 10y warranty on their products. BUYER BEWARE.
I doubt if it actually took 6 months for an Engineer to visit and feel that this is simply not the case,
You will also note that they have not complained after the claimed second visit required, funny that!! With many thousands of satisfied customers your bound to receive at least 2 negative reviews.

Poor Poor Service And After Care
I would not advise that anyone use this company!! They installed new double glaze wooden sash windows and a short while after installation we were not able to open them. It took 8 months of phone calls to send someone to fix them so that we were able to open the windows. The company are not interested in you once you have paid your bill, and all you get from the customer service representative who answers the phone is false promises of a call back- it never comes!!! Do not waste your time with such a shoddy service.
The sales team are misrepresenting the services offered and never return a call. The manager Roger also never returns a call to discuss complaints and so I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS WINDOW COMPANY!!!!!!
Here's another one out of thousands of extremely satisfied customers who spent 8 months calling to get a satisfactory visit to resolve their problem.
Shame they didn't comment once the work was completed or can we assume it was all resolved and had been since as 16 months has passed since there initial negative review!!
