Credit Still Not Received....?

The service from this company has been terrible. We ordered a door was told it would arrive in 3 weeks, so stopped looking. Three days before the end of the delivery we received a sorry out of stock notice. Our builder needed the door that week, so we had no choice but to buy an alternative door from them, which did arrive on time and the delivery driver was very good. The difference in door costs is about £240 and I have been chasing this credit for three months now. I am very disappointed about this, and wonder what I should do next, having read some of the other reviews I now wonder if I should write to Watch Dog or the Guardian. Perhaps that will be my next step. I would not recommend this firm.

I Found This Company Very Dodgy. The Whole Experie

I found this company very dodgy. The whole experience with them is a complete nightmare. I ordered some doors in November 2010 and was promised delivery within 2 weeks. That of course didn't happen and nobody bothered to tell me until I chased them. Ever since then the staff found various of excuses for the delay - the weather, the shortage of staff, the supplier, blah blah blah. I was finally told that they won't be able to supply the doors until this summer! They agreed to refund the full amount within 3 days - that of course is another lie. It's been three weeks now and still nothing has been refunded. I now have to call my credit card company to get my money back. Might even have to go to small court to claim back the money!

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ANY COST!

I Ordered A Wooden Door In Mid April From The Door

I ordered a wooden door in mid April from the door store, which was to be delivered by the end of April and paid a deposit. When no one contacted me for three weeks, my wife rang them on several occasions to chase the door. On each occasion they had little knowledge of the order, were totally disinterested and unhelpful and never returned calls. It is now June and my building project has not completed because of their inability to deliver for 7 weeks. It has been impossible to talk to the manager, who is never available and does not return calls. I have now asked for a refund and wait to see if they will refund the deposit.

Internal Door Ordered From The Door Store In Janua

Internal door ordered from The Door Store in January and advised that lead time would be fourteen days. Despite attempted communication by us we reached April and no sign of the door. We eventually managed to talk to someone who apologised and said the door had not been ordered yet from supplier. Promised for the following week. When it never came we cancelled the order by email and asked for chargeback on credit card. Two weeks later they rang to say our door was available for delivery. We got our money back eventually minus £60 re-stocking fee. So we paid £60 for nothing except the privilege of their poor service.

I agree with this review because I had a very similar experience.

That sounds like a very poor experience. I'm pretty sure the 60 pound re-stock fee is something they can't charge. If I was you, I would go to the consumer direct website and get some advice of them! Hope it works out for you! www.consumerdirect.gov.uk
