Good Service

Having recently used Style Windows to have all windows and front door replaced in my home I was pleased with the service. 10 year Guarantee given. However as I have heard that the company has gone bust and I cannot get any answer to my phone calls, I suppose the guarantee is not worth the paper it is written on.

After Reading The Comments I Thought I Should Writ

After reading the comments i thought i should write a review for myself. I have used style windows for my own property twice, first was for windows the second for a conservatory. All i can say is how impressed i was with both service product timings. In addition i buy and rent houses and always use style windows for excellent service.

All I can say about the negative comments would be, maybe people who write such things on review sites are looking for money off.

We ordered our conservatory from style(conservatories ltd) in oct 2009, they started work in nov 2009 and 8 months later its still not finished, we still need plastering, screed, rendering, electrics plus other works.

Went With Style Windows As It Was A Family Run Com

Went with Style Windows as it was a Family Run company and my neighbour had recently had thm installed. As a company they come with a good reputation in the local area. From Sales to Fitting to Aftersales, I was impressed with it all. A vast amount of knowledge from the sales person, and this again was carried on throught the fitting. Company employed Installers were also a major factor in our decision

We Ordered Some French Doors To Be Installed On Th

We ordered some French doors to be installed on the 2nd August. Less than a week before, we were told that they would not be installed until 22nd August because of flooding at the Style Windows factory. I explained I had a new born baby and asked them to do the work earlier. They said they would see what they could do and would contact me, but the latest date for my installation would be the 22nd August. They then did not reply and ignored my calls. Eventually, I talked to a manager and he told me the doors would now be installed on the 2nd September.

We Went With This Company Because It Was Small And

We went with this company because it was small and local and we were impressed with the initial impression that we were left with however, the customer service following the installation has been worse than poor. It was assumed by the company that we wanted white hanldes and letter box on the front door - we had never been asked so it did not enter in to our heads to ask or request otherwise. Since installation we have repeatedly called the company to change the items. An appointment was booked eventually for someone to come round where we would only be charged £20 for labour but half an hour before hand it was cancelled. After several more phone calls - where the owner could not be reached but we had to deal with his secretary, we arranged to go to the company ourselves and meet with the owner. Less than 24 hours before hand we were contacted and told that the owner was now not available and the appointment had to be cancelled again. In addition to this we were told that labour would now cost £100 and we would also have to pay for the parts. We have now decided not to deal with the company again and instead get professionals in to correct Style Windows' mistakes. We would therefore strongly not recommend this company based on this poor service.

I am so glad i have read this review as i went to showroom and got a quote for windows,doors and french doors, and i thought that the quality of them looked good and salesperson was good, I am so glad I have read this review as I dont think I will use them now.

I wished we had seen this review before using Style Windows. We had lots of problems with faulty and badly fitted bits to the conservatory/extension. As you said, they make appointments and continually cancel appointments, and they don't let you know. The conservatory roof has been leaking now for 3 MONTHS, and as they have mucked up again & again & again, and not contacted us to say they are not coming to fix AGAIN. The 1ST appointment was missed, and when called, they said the men hadn't entered the sizes of the piece needed. We told them the sizes should be on file from fitting it a couple of years ago. Plus, the patio doors don't meet in the middle, and they said just adjust. They did this, and there is still daylight showing through doors, and now the door is dropping with weight hanging right out on hinges as far as they can go. So now pulling from window frame work next to it. Have to put up pole and heavy blankets to try to keep out cold in winter (so much for double glazing).

2ND appointment again missed - no contact to let us know - too many of the window fitters were off between holidays and sick. So a new appointment date was made again!!

3RD appointment made when they said they eventually had the piece for the roof, but there was no show again. On calling, they said it was the wrong item that had come in from the factory a week before!!!

Each time, the window blinds for the whole area had to come down so they'd be able to do the jobs.

I think it's to take the matter further, as they should do these jobs under the warranty, or they should pay for the repairs and the inconvenience they have caused!!
