S&A Windows

After a visit from a well known company, which gave me a quote that my husband and I found a rip off, we decided to go for S&A. My in laws have used this company in the past and so has my husband in his previous house. It is a family owned company which invites its clients to visit their site.

The sales man and the surveyor came and took all the measurements. On the day of the fitting, five fitters turned up, very friendly, did a fast and clean job. Five windows and two doors were fitted. Our front door is unique and looks very smart. We had a little problem with the door, however it was fixed.

I must say their customer service after sale is a bit poor, but in the end, we got there due to the politeness of the contact.

I have recommended S&A to a friend.

No Stars. This company have been dreadfull to deal with. Their fitters turned up at whatever time they liked,went home at 2.30 and did nothing but speak ill of the company owners and talk about how little they were payed. Our windows have been poorly fitted and are bent, twisted and wonky in the frames. We are being made to feel like we have no rights to complain. We will never reccomend S & A to anyone and we will shout to everyone and every organization about our experience. We have no confidence in this company to do works under our guarantee as each time they visit our property their fitters break or damage something else.... Terrible job and these people should not be allowed to trade.

Had a good look round before I decided which company to use as Double Glazing firms have generally not got a good reputation. One quote I got some years ago with a major nationwide company, when I declined his offer, then got out of his bag a rival companies goods and tried to sell me that. Naturally enough I told him to go away.

My daughter had used this Company twice in two different houses and thought they were excellent. Loved the salesman, measured up, gave me a quote which was more than competitive, no "if you sign up now I can get this quote reduced" which I had from some other suppliers and was out of the house within an hour. We accepted his offer on the spot NO DEPOSIT REQUIRED, PAY WHEN THE JOB IS FINISHED AND YOU ARE HAPPY WITH IT. He also invited us down to the factory to see how they manufactured their products which we accepted.

Fitters turned up when they said they would, grafted like mad, cleaned up inside and outside after themselves brilliantly, each day. Job for 13 windows, 2 patio doors and a front door took 3 and a half days which I thought was pretty good. Went round with them and pointed out the minor things that were wrong, not many and they corrected them immediately.

The fitters were friendly and very professional and employed by the Company, not subcontractors.

I'd certainly recommend anyone who wants a good double glazing product to use this Company.
