Oh Kraft.... What Are You Doing?

Another wonderful Cadbury product ruined by Kraft's changes. OK...the reviews show that not everyone loved the old Time Out, but many did... and it was undeniably unique in being an alleged wafer, but having that thick layer of what was essentially, Cadbury's Flake in the middle. I loved them! I had hoped that the new wafers were an extra product line, but no, they replace the old product.

All that they've managed to do, under the guise of creating a lower fat treat, is to basically create... well... a poor man's Blue Riband. If I want a Blue Riband (which I sometimes do)... then I'll buy a packet of them. What I won't be buying, is any more Time Out Wafers.

The New (light Blue Wrapper) Time Out Is Nothing L

The NEW (light blue wrapper) Time Out is nothing like the old one. The magical texture and lightness of the old wafers have gone. It is heavy and leaves you feeling slightly bloated. Its like a Twix with the toffee missing.

Time Out Chocolate Bars Are Made Up Of A Layer Of

Time Out chocolate bars are made up of a layer of rippled Cadbury's chocolate between two slices of wafer, and then all of it is coated in chocolate. The pack consists of two fingers (like Twix).

Personally, I like the Cadbury's Time Out bar. When eating it you can taste both the chocolate and the wafer, which gives a smooth flavour mixed in with the crispy wafer. The one downside is that it claims to be coated in chocolate, the reality is that it's so thin, you can see the wafer through it. This especially causes problems on warm days, as the coating melts immediately onto your fingers.

Overall though, it makes a change from other more standard chocolate bars.

Cadbury Timeout Offers Consumers The Wafer Break W

Cadbury TimeOut offers consumers the wafer break with a layer of Flake. The indulgent taste experience of Flake with the crispness of wafers offers consumers a light treat when they are wanting a quick break throughout their day.

That's what they say. I'm not keen on this, it's not substantial enough for my liking, you'd be better off with a flake and a wafer! The two don't seem to go well.
