Bassets Flumps Twist

This concerns your liquorice allsorts but probably other products are similar.

I feel there has been a steady decline in the quality of this confection. The texture is poor, the predominant taste is sugar, it overrides every thing, if in fact sugar is used and the sweets themselves don't look at all appetising or appealing to me. Many years ago, the recipes were much better, as in all sweets but now, famous names don't mean quality. It seems that the names have been copied but the quality hasn't .The picture on the box looks nothing like what's inside but the design does its job well, in wooing the customer into believing it's a quality confection.

I bought a 600g. box, which I now feel was a complete waste of money. Manufacturers these days seem to be solely concerned with bigger and bigger profits, cheaper materials and faster methods, but apparently never a thought for quality and customer satisfaction. Customers aren't daft, they recognise quality or changes to it, so all you have to do is simply use better materials, the original materials of yesteryear, no matter what the accountants say, and your sales will increase. There will be an element of pride too because you will be making a quality product.
