Just cancelled my Bupa Global insurance. As a Swiss citizen and living in London I wanted to have a comprehensive insurance. Bupa Global convinced me over the phone they are doing so. However, I was terrible sick at home - could not move. I called Bupa for an authorisation number. Rather than providing an authorisation number they wanted me to go to a GP which was impossible. Thanks god, my GP agreed to come and told me to sort out authorisation number with Bupa directly. In short I got service and better after 2 days. However, after 3 months Bupa told the GP that they paid the invoice already to me - which is not true. Over months this game has been played by Bupa, although never showing any details and refusing to sit together with involved parties. Very bad behaviour and worst, when one needs a medical service, they are rejecting it.
